I would agree with Rick, preseason polls are a interesting but mean little. Really can't see us being picked 2nd, given out performance last year. SDU a logical choice to win it it all and will probably do so. They are the best program in the Pioneer. We used to be but that is no longer the case. We compete for players against many
Pioneer league teams, SDU doesn't have to do that. that is an advantage. But even given that we have slipped a bit is recent years.

I feel confident that the Flyers will bounce back strongly this year. Yes, we have holes to fill, but that pretty much happens every year. Thought I had heard that SDU lost a lot of top talent and hopefully we can take it to them in San Diego this year.

It will be a tough first three weeks but I feel confident that it will help us come conference time (I'd rather have that OOC schedule than, say, Davidson's)
