BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -- In the Roaring ‘20s song “Chicago” the Windy City is referred to as “that toddlin’ town.” What the heck does that mean? I had to hit the Googles to find out and it seems that no one is really quite sure, but the consensus seems to be that it probably refers to a dance that was popular at that time.
Regardless, the Flyers will be toddlin’ into the home turf of Kendall Pollard, Kyle Davis and Josh Cunningham at 7:00 PM Dayton time on Saturday as they take on Northwestern Wildcats at the United Center. Not only is it a homecoming for these three Dayton players but represents a chance for one of the largest concentrations of UD alums to represent and turn what is supposed to be a neutral court into a veritable UD Arena West. “From the Swamp” will be there.
Should be a good one!

-- Interesting story from The Chicago Tribune on Evan Gilyard (a former Flyer recruiting target) who decided to take his talents to UTEP in order to escape the gun violence in Chicago:
-- Could swear that I heard Larry and Bucky mention that UD was #7 in the nation in steals during a recent game. Don’t know where they got that stat because the Flyers are currently #42:
-- Also thought that the announcers on Fox Sports Ohio said during the ETSU game that Chris Wright was being called up from the NBA D-League to the OKC Thunder in the NBA, but there has been nothing on NBA Rumors to that effect.
