She is the sister of Olivia Brown of the Bonnies. Another sister has committed to NW, after four B10 offers. Macy has an offer from MI. She is considered the best of the Brown sisters.. Just a Soph last year on a team that went 22-1. Good guard size at 6'0". We would love to get her.

She seems to be hitting Columbus area pretty hard. Pickering Central, Dublin Coffman and Reynoldsburg all have very good programs.
A lot of good players in this area.

Reminds me of Cannatelli. Good outside shooter.

Interesting recruit. Not sure who else was recruiting her in hoops, but her best sport is not basketball; its lacrosse. She seems to be a nationally ranked prepster in that sport.
We need some size now. Hope Tamika has a 6-4/6-5 big on her radar. Were hugely deficient at the 5.

She was recruited by Ball State, Canisius, Buffalo LaSalle and Wright State.
She seems like a solid student athlete and works hard. If she can shoot like Cannatelli I would be very happy!

This is a good get. She's been a known commodity for some time in Ohio and a lot of schools were after her. Whats interesting is Shauna recruited her at UD and when Tamika takes over she still believes the UD sales pitch and commits to the local school. Tells me she really wants to be here.
They play some serious hoops in the MAC -- although its small-school ball its probably one of the two or three most competitive small school conferences in the whole country. So many UD WBB and VB players have come out of the MAC recruiting honeyhole its been a goldmine.
She's not a finished product so she will have to put on muscle and developer her skills, but all the other schools recruiting her knew that as well and didnt mind offering.

BIG get today from Tamika. 6-4 (or 6-5) Eve Fiala from Indiana verbals to UD. Played in Indiana in 2020, moved to PA to live and play w/family, back to Indiana and didnt play a year based on what I could find out.
Had offers from Ohio State, Minnesota, Michigan, Penn State, Va Tech, Miss. State, Louisville, Pitt, Virginia, West Virginia, and others. Was getting looks from UConn.
Double-double player with shot-blocking that moves well. Combined with 6-4 Riley Rismiller we are adding some good talent and height.

Finally getting this ship back in the water. This year will be a disaster, but help is on the way.
Watch some video of this lady. She looks as good as we have ever recruited. Runs the floor, can shoot the three, very long arms and great hands.
These are comments after her Soph year, "Standing at 6-foot-5, Fiala is a matchup nightmare in the women’s high school game. Her sheer size in addition to her blossoming athletic ability combines for a skill set that college coaches are salivating over.
“Her athleticism is her best strength,” Tate added. “She can score the basketball 12 feet and in. She runs the floor like a gazelle, blocks shots, she is really athletic. She blocks, rebounds, and controls the paint on defense.”

Fiala did not move. She played for Indiana HS, PA near Pitt. How confusing is that?

To get a pair of 6-4+ post players in this class that were recruited by Big10 schools is a big step forward. I agree this year is gonna be ugly but it wasnt Tamika's fault. Everybody bailed on her. She needs 4 recruiting cycles to get her players in and develop them to her style. At that point we can determine if its all workin'.
In Tamika's favor is her personality, along with being able to say I was the best prep recruit in the country on the best HS team in the country that eventually played for the best college program in the country for maybe the best college team ever assembled while shooting the best percentage of anyone in the history of college basketball. That will get a kid's attention.

How many ships do we still have open for next year? I count five. Securing those two bigs should help us induce some good guards.

Thanks Chris I love the way you phrased this below - I'm going to bring this up in my interview with her October 11th...
