Cards: Agreed. I think the first unit O-line will be good to very good. The issue is one of depth. One interesting continuation from last year is at LT. It's looking like Justin Karem will start (he started several times last year). He's very light for a traditional LT at roughly 255-260 lbs. I'm told, however, that he has great footwork and technique. The good news is that he'll face very few (if any) big, bruising DEs. Instead, he'll be matched against quicker, more athletic "rush" DEs. Given my particular interest in keeping the QB upright, I like the idea of a more athletic LT protecting his backside.
On defense, they will be solid on the D-line and may end up with the best group of safeties in the PFL. The one CB spot appears to be wide-open and I suspect the scrimmage tomorrow will be very important. Same with the back-ups at LB; really need depth there as well. Hopefully, some guys will "win" those spots rather than getting them by default. Should be fun to watch.
