........the Flyers upset heavily favored (23-1 A10 record) GW in the opening round, sending the Colonials to the loser's bracket to face #2 seed St. Joe's.

The Flyers put two on the board early and played a very clean and well pitched game, scattering hits and runners throughout the afternoon.

Dayton will face Fordham in the semis of the 4-team, double elimination bracket.

GW steam rolled thru the regular season, although the Flyers battled tough in several of their head to head games.

It's likely the Flyers would have to beat the Colonials one more time this week(end) to earn the dance ticket.

	Fordham FORDHAM Fordham University is an independent Jesuit university established in 1841 as St. John's College on old Rose Hill Manor in the village of Fordham, then part of Westchester County in the Bronx, NY.
