We'll be unveiling a new player every Monday through the college soccer season to honor UD Women's Soccer Head Coach Mike Tucker's two decades of success with the Flyers.

And may be the only Flyer ever named 1st Team All-A10 all four seasons. Only Flyer ever named 1st Team All-American.

Probably the best passer of the ball Mike Tucker ever had. Tenacious loose-ball challenger with a blue-collar work ethic. Much stronger than larger players. Never let natural ability alone carry her bags. Hated to lose and never took naps on the pitch. Made those around her better.

The best pure soccer talent to ever play for Dayton. You name it, she had it. Her Flyer career was cut short, but her numbers and production and awards stand on their own and compare most favorable to other 4-year players. On the eye test and soccer brilliance test alone, she's in a class by herself.

D/MF Emily Kenyon
2008-2011
2009 2nd Team All Atlantic-10
Member of 2 A10 Regular Season titles
Member of 3 A10 Tournament title
Member of 3 NCAA Tournament team
D/MF Emily Kenyon (2008-2011) is our eleventh and final member of the Mike Tucker Highest Flyers, a starting XI hand-picked by UDPride honoring the best players from UD women's soccer Head Coach Mike Tucker's two decades of coaching.
Kenyon arrived at UD as a walk-on player who quickly earned the respect of her coaches and teammates. She started 21 of 22 matches as a freshman and parlayed it into a 2nd Team All Atlantic-10 performer as a sophomore.
As a junior and senior, her career literally took off. Using her incredible speed, closing ability, and defensive skills, she became one of the most successful lock-down defenders in program history. As a central defender in her senior year, she put together one of the most dominating seasons in Mike Tucker's 22 years of coaching.
Kenyon also played in the midfield as a ball-winner and used her long "flip" throw-ins to help change the field and provide additional set piece service into the opposing goal box.
One of the most undervalued and underappreciated Dayton players in program history, her inclusion on our Best XI is in many ways a symbol of the forgotten players under Mike Tucker that provided the true backbone of the program and filled in all the racks. Kenyon should have been an All-American but was never recognized. We're recognizing her now.
