VCU game
A-10 does not list it as premium but when you click on link it takes you to their $$$ site.
Should be a good game and a good test for LC. Not so much in her scoring double digit points but in her ability to play quality minutes like she did against Davidson, total of 34 minutes.
She needs to play quality minutes in relief of Jenna and Kelley, of course I'll take another career high in points. Go Flyers take this win on the road and keep your lead over SLU.

Of course Jenna will be the primary pt gd next year but LC will get some more valuable tr gd experience. Jayla is an option but would like to see Giaconne with more pt, but needs to get healthy first.

VCU game - comments
Did not see game, but watched live scoreboard.
VCU men's game at home against Dayton did not rub off on the VCU women's team.
This was the Layfield show. Great game by a not very tall inside player.
End of game stat line I saw for Dennis - 3 fouls, 2 TO's, for2 on 3 point shots and no 2point shots in 5 minutes.
SGA and team good rebounding, free throw shooting and limited TO's.
I do not know if our defense was that good or VCU had that bad a shooting game.

Didn't Burdette play in the Davidson game? I know she only played 18 minutes, but did something else happen in between the end of that game and now?

In fact Jenna got in early foul trouble at Davidson. Only 12 turnovers today and five in double figures.

Vcu coach said in post game interview that it was Dayton's defense as their top 3 scorers didn't score a combined 10 points.

I don't think anyone besides Kelley (who doesn't like it) has the quickness and ball handling to play the point full time. But, what could happen during a three week period is that the backups improve enough to give Jenna and Kelley some minutes off during the A10 tournament.

Layfield has really stepped up in the last 10 games - especially her defense and rebounding. Looks like she had a monster game offensively today as well.

Layfield with 20 and 9. Seems like she has figured out this college game in the last month. For her it is about shot selection and relaxing on shots.
With Layfield, Jenna, Harris, Scaife and the Butler transfer we are set up for next year. Sure will miss Grant's size and Austria's D, but we should be better than this year.

Put Jenna on that Zero gravity treadmill during her recovery that they bought for Cunningham. It seems to help speed up his recovery.

The Dayton paper gave it two paragraphs front page bottom left margin and that's it. Disgraceful rag.

Response- Post #23 jack72
Hope you are right, but I see us as a bit below this year. This is especially true if we make the NCAA tournament this year.
You name five good players returning coming back next year. Who will fill in if there are injuries (especially at point guard) or foul trouble.
We also return Wilmoth, Szabo, Giacone, Dennis and Parkinson. They are big unknowns so far.
We graduate Austria, the best outside (guard) defensive player in my memory and SGA, the best offensive rebounder in school history. SGA may also be way up on the list of single season rebounding for this year.
The good news is that S. Green s/b A-10 coach of the year if things continue at the current rate. The chances of a good additional recruit for next year continue to improve along with our current year record.
Giacone and Wilmoth should improve, perhaps greatly.
Also, I would like to thank Avid Flyer for answering my question about Dayton's defense in the UCU

Spud, I agree that our chances of picking up a late signee available for next year have increased greatly in the past two months. The team looks to be strong next year but there is also a great chance for early playing time at any position.
I expect Breen to play well next year, especially after she gets a few games under her
