Too funny. I hope Scooch has a bunch of games left. It has been a joy to watch him play.

Even if Crosby turns out to be a superstar, we're gonna miss Scooch. The guy is just a winner and Dayton is fortunate to have had him play there.

There's no doubt about that. Once in a while, a player comes along that is bigger than his contributions on paper. Scoochie is one of those players. Tonight he put the game out of reach in the first 90 seconds of OT.

That's right Brob, he didn't just hit those threes, he banged them home with authority...nothing but.

Scoochie's Balls were extremely large in overtime, but I wish he would have used them before overtime. Crosby played some great minutes to get it to OT.

Yes on both counts, C-time. Scoochie was Mr. Clutch in OT, but without Crosby's spark, we may not get to OT.
I'm still stunned. I guess you never doubt the will of a champion.

The Davidson fans behind us could not believe it when Scooch hit that third three. They were like who is that guy and where has he been? Then Scoochie hits the layup and they left mumbling cuss words. Scoochie has that effect on people.

My wife and I were visiting my son during his junior year and stopped in the cafeteria in Marianist Hall for a quick bite. In walks three assistant basketball coaches with this skinny, gangly young man who looked like he couldnt fight his way out of a wet paper bag. He was so physically unimpressive that we all commented after they walked away that wow, that kid is the best we could do in looking for recruits. Turns out our facetiousness was spot on. What a player!! Already miss watching him!!

If you look close, after that third three where they show a replay during the Davidson timeout, there's a guy behind the UD basket that flips Scoochie's back the double bird.
Enjoy it guy. It's his last time in your building!

I've been waiting to tell this story but I think now is as good a time as any.
My friend is the coach of Putnam Science Academy where Scoochie finished his high school career. I got to know him and knew he was a great kid and he was dominant in most of their games. But when my friend told me Dayton was recruiting him I just wasn't sure he could play at that level because of his slight stature. I had him pegged for a lower D1 conference. My friend invited me to have lunch with AM and Coach Griffin on one of their visits and they told me how high they were on Scoochie and how they really wanted him. That was enough for me so every time I talked to Scoochie from then on out I kept telling him how great of a school UD was and how much I loved my four years there. I'm so glad I was wrong about his level he could play at and hopefully my praise of the university helped sway, if even in the smallest of ways, him to choose UD. Thank god he decided to attend UD, he has been the leader of a team that has given us memories that we will remember for a long time, and hopefully built a foundation of winning for years to come.

When I saw him in Maui, he didn't do anything to really catch your eye, yet he caught my eye and I knew he was going to be terrific. You know why? Because he was slow and methodical taking the ball up court and just had a coolness about him. Not like any other freshman I'd ever seen who are so out of control in their first games or even season. You could just tell that he was never going to try and do things outside his skill set and that's a maturity that's very rare for a Freshman, playing in his 5th game and first in the national spotlight.
Also, my girlfriend and I saw in KD what was to become. He was fierce out there from the get go and giving it 100 percent yet again, not overdoing it. I also loved KP's attitude the first time I saw him play. I think it was against Cal and he gave someone who was ****ing him off an elbow to the face. It's been fun watching these 3 grow to say the least.

I remember the Cal game. There was a time in the game when TV had a great angle on the Cal defense opening up. As soon as I saw the opening KDavis was there with a layup. I said to myself that "if this is our unheralded freshman guard, its going to be a great 4 years".

KD saw the opening and threw down a Sportscenter Top 10 dunk! He also removed Ryan Cobb from the Cal game plan.
