I like what I see. Not a ton of points, but good shooting efficiency. Good rebounding. Fouls a lot. But he was just a frosh, so likely to have the potential to improve greatly.

Hopefully Holmes is back. Jack will be a perfect 5 backup while learning for the following two years.
He does not have great stats or pedigree, but he will be way better than the two big stiffs who transferred out this year.

He is a 5. DaRon is a 4. If DaRon sticks around (we will know today if he is planning to be in the draft), I could see the two of them playing together side by side a fair bit. If we get high level contributions at the PG position, look out.

This video clearly demonstrates that he has a very good presence inside. Seems to have good feet and good hands. I like this recruit.

Reminds me of a young Sean Finn. Super high FG%, bricklayer at the foul line, turnover issues. There's upside with 6-11 but much of it still unrealized.

This addition gives AG the flexibility to play DaRon 10-15 minutes a game at the 4, to better develop a mid-range or outside game, in much the same way that Jordy’s addition allowed Obi to slide to the 4 when they played side-by-side. Hopefully, Isaac can learn to stay out of foul trouble better than Jordy did. I really like this signing.
Welcome to the family, Isaac!

Good get. Had P5 suitors (Vandy, Pitt, Oregon State), and Buffalo fans love the kid’s “glue hands.” A definite upgrade from our dearly departed bigs.

At this writing, Holmes hasn't declared either way. None the less, even if Homes returns, not much behind him.

He has to prove he can stay on the floor before he starts. Fouls more than Mike did last season.

And from the highlights it looks like he has great hands compared to Jordy...then again, even if I never saw a video of him, I'd be pretty certain he had better hands than Jordy because those were about the worst I've ever seen at the D1 level...and I loved Jordy but his hands yikes!

Wow, his hands and athleticism are decidedly un-terrible. I expected much less until I saw the highlights. He's not the difference between being national champion and a 16 seed, but he will 100% fill a gap at worst.

I, too, liked and rooted for Jordy, but his hands were definitely better suited for the Offensive Line on the football team than the front line on the basketball team.
And as far as “the worst hands” are concerned, I don’t know if anyone remembers Jim Rhoden from the late 1970s, but some of my friends from my undergrad days who were on campus when he played nicknamed him “Stone Hands”. I don’t remember enough of his game to be able to compare him to Jordy. Suffice to say, neither he nor Jordy would ever be confused with Roosevelt Chapman when it comes to handling a basketball.

I remember stone hands very well. :-) He was built as a linebacker too or maybe the defensive bully on a hockey team.

Richard Montague had one of the sweetest strokes ever for a big. He could have done damage from the three-point line. But he, too, had WD-40 hands.

If we're talking bad hands....let no one forget John "Hans" Von Lehman. I don't think he ever made a clean catch in his career.

Yeah man. If you set the bar low enough you can always hit the mark. Seems like a back up center at best. He was eight in minutes for a MAC team that had a losing record. Hard to see him being a major contributor to our getting back to the NCAA tournament.

He was a freshman who just started playing basketball 4-5 years ago. Did you look at all the players playing significant roles for teams that made the Sweet 16 and beyond that played in small/bottom tier conferences who didn't even get a sniff from a program even the size of Buffalo? You would have mocked many of those same players when they were also 18 years old.

Big men usually take longer to develop. Plus who knows the level of competition and coaching he got in British Columbia. (I realize he played his senior year in Ontario)
Given the small pool of productive big men in the portal, it’s gonna be tough to land a finished product who’s put up numbers

I like his instinct to attack the basket and aggressively attempt to dunk. This type of play is indicative that the man has huge balls. My Team needs lots and lots of huge balls.
