Jayla 1st team and Lauren 2nd team preseason
Congrats to both ladies, Jayla also on the pre season all defensive team. UD picked second in the league behind Duquesne.

Frankly I was thinking Jayla second and Lauren third again it's the post season one that matters most but this is a pleasant surprise. And Duquesne deserves to be favored to win the conference with everyone back from a year ago with Alter's Libby Bazelak contributing more than last year is my bet.

Very fair. I love the foreign girl for Duquesne. If I was picking teams, she'd be one of my first draft picks. We stuck a cork in Omogrosso last year when it mattered. The young guards for Fordham and Mason are lethal however.
I think some coaches had a hard time judging us in the preseason poll and I dont fault them for that. I think we do too. We have a number of new players and a bunch of players coming back from injury. Can Bradshaw change the PG position for us and maintain or elevate where Jenna left off? Was as a Top-40 kid and played in a South Carolina systam where expectations were high. Chandler should help us. Fowler and Giacone back can only add to our chances. Wilmoth should be better. I like Skeens a lot but it may take her a year. Man if we can get Brittany Ward to turn into an Applewhite with more upside, we could be in business. I felt like she struggled last year to find her sea legs -- partly from injury perhaps -- and never found her fitness.
Scaife and Cannatelli should be reliable. Davidson and Whitehead add depth in the frontcourt.
We have a LOT more bodies this year. Losing Jenna was huge, but we've got some pieces to work with. This might be like the team 4-5 years ago where we inundated teams with substitutions and pressure. Hockey line subs kept us fresh and we won by overwhelming opponents. I remember a game at Siena where we looked like US International or Loyola Marymount. The Saints simply couldnt run up and down the court fast enough.
