A total crock that Jenna isn't first team or Shauna not even top 3 for COY. What a Mickey Mouse conference we play in...

What a bunch of crap!! How can Shauna not win COY, when she takes a team with all kinds of injuries and no bench, and breezes through the A10. I suspect she is not liked well enough, or has people jealous of what she has achieved. What a joke.
The other joke is having Jenna on the second team. Fine vote someone else the POY, but what a major league insult after the four years Jenna has had. To vote Kemph from StL, who led her team to a .500 season over Jenna, who is not only a great scorer and shooter, but an absolute A+ leader, is flat out blind.
The A10 is more concerned about spreading the awards out, then rewarding excellence.
More motivation for the tourney!

Isn't this just the author's opinion of who he would have voted for if media members were allowed to vote?

The A10 believes UD will leave soon and therefor don't want to waste awards.
COY award last couple years have been more participation awards, and yes spreading it sround.
UD is the ugly stepchild in the A10.

COY - Dayton coach Shauna Green is not in the top three here and Duquesne’s Dan Burt is not even in the top four.
Yes bizarre!! I didn't have Kempf on my first team nor Parsons from Richmond.

Well, so much for Zachary Weiss and A10 Talk........
It's 2018. Anybody who can type and has an internet connection is a journalist/analyst.
Green - Coach of the Year......wasn't in Weiss's Top 3
Burdette - 1st team

He said his choices were likely to spark debate...so he knew what he was saying.
Not everyone at A10 Talk is as crazy as Weiss...this preview of the A10 Tourny says "Dayton is a very well-coached team and just does not make many mistakes".

Pretty much as expected - and quite fair IMHOP. Only surprise for me was Scaife making the second team. Thought she might be overlooked a bit with Burdette and Layfield getting most of the attention.

I think there are some Flyer fans who do not objectively evaluate Scaife. If you have not looked at her total stat line, you should. Based on her stats and her aggressiveness on offense to get a shot off like no other in the A10, others realize she is pretty much on par with any A10 player.
Some have knocked Scaife for her shooting. She is at 41% and 34% on threes, and that is on a large number of shots, and at times when no one else could get a shot.
