BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -- On Saturday night at 8:00 PM on the CBS Sports Network the UD Flyers will face off vs. the VCU Rams for all of the A-10 marbles (or at least a piece of them anyway). Prior to tipoff, the
Flyer Faithful will bid
adieu (note my use of French here) to seniors Dyshawn Pierre and Bobby Wehrli and Dr. Willie and the band will play both
O Canada and
The Star Spangled Banner in their respective honor.
As we have seen most recently with Texas (vs. Kansas) and
Richmond (vs. the Flyers) playing at home on Senior Night is not a guarantee of a victory. But with so much to play for, one would hope that Archie’s guys will come firing out of the gate like there is no tomorrow, even tho we all know there
is a tomorrow…and a next week in Brooklyn…and an NCAA bid forthcoming on Selection Sunday.
So what exactly are VCU and UD playing for? David Jablonski of
