Dayton 3 Perdue 0
Nope not a typo. So that is what happens when you insert new players and score the first goal. Much more fun to score and put pressure on the opponent instead of letting them score first and then try to catch up.
This is what UD womens soccer is supposed to look like. Congrats ladies.
Libby Leedom with two goals.

And an absolutely gorgeous perfect day for soccer it was. The women finally get a clean sheet and a "W".
Purdue is an ok team but not an elite Big 10 team. We were fortunate that they did not score on a couple of occasions, but we also could have had one or 2 more - especially a very poorly taken PK by Blank. The defense bent but did not break. Thought the mid-field played well - especially LeRoy and Leedom. Wish everyone gave the same level of effort as LeRoy. Need to find someone besides Kiehl up top. Perhaps we can get one of the frosh to help her. Johns may have had her best game ever in goal. Good saves and good decisions all afternoon.
If you would have told me at the beginning of the season that our first win of the season would be a 3-0 whitewash of Purdue, I would not have believed you. We'll take it and see if we can build on it.

I just realized I spelled Purdue like the chicken company. Subconscious at work.
