Great story on a great player. She is special, and has been the difference maker this year. Looking forward to another great year from Whalen.

I think I do like Whalen for first team all conference along with Bazelak, Breen, Jorgensen and Cavenaugh - I know Cardano Hiliary is at top of scoring but overall she has not had a good year. Agree or disagree? I thought about Jayla but truthfully I'd have chosen Reed over her - some of her injury struggles have taken their toll. As for Breen, she's played 15 games including all conference games so she should be eligible for post season awards.

Be interesting to see how the committee treats Breen. After all she not only stuck it to Dayton but also the A10.
Here's a tidbit on Sam Breen: she remained committed to UD
for 10 months after jabir bolted. It was when Archie Miller left for Indiana that triggered Breens interest in transfering. Archie father was Breens personal trainer. Without him being on campus from time to time she lost her security blanket.
Once again have no problem with recruits opting out of LOI so long as they do it the right way and not the day players are showing up on campus to start a new season, not leaving Shauna Green time to recruit her replacement.
And to jack and other apologists I'll move on from Breen when flyer faithful move on from McKinley Wright. At least MW did it the right way giving AG months to find his replacement, which I feel AG got the better of the two.

Chris Wright missed a portion of his freshman season due to injury and still made the All Rookie team. Breen missing a game or two won't disqualify her from an award.

Never said it would disqualify her. Just knowing human nature sometime committes withhold a vote for various reasons.
Take Missy Greg the all-American soccer player who told the players she was transfering to D2 school one hour before or first game. Well she set all kinds of D2 records. After graduation she went to try out for team USA, but Mia Hann and company rejected her, as they knew her story. All Americans move up in competition not down and the don't walk out on teammates at the last minute.
