Jacksonville
With a bye week the team should be rested for Jacksonville. I think having the bye after the first 3 games is the best for the schedule. In the past, there were significant injuries after the first three games and hindered the run for the PFL. This time, I hope everyone is fit, ready and hungry for the PFL.
I noticed after a few years there are fewer comments. Does the facebook site take away from udpride or is it just a matter that nothing much needs to be said?

So far, looks like the defense hasn't improved. Offense will have to score a ton of points again today. got lucky with a TD called back for a low block. 7-7
Second TD called back on off setting penalties, but it didn't really matter as the Dolphins scored anyway. 14-14
Defense has tightened up in the second quarter, good to see. Man can we score quick. 35-14

56-28 Flyers final. Cook was 13-16 and 6 TDs. Not a bad afternoon. We can outscore just about anybody, but can we stop anybody?

The defense got stronger as the game went on. It wasn't back and forth like I expected, once we took the 21-14 lead.
Of course, Jacksonville's fouls helped, too. The offense was awesome.

The receivers made some great catches, too. It's a good combination of cool headed quarterback and excellent receivers to throw to.

We did well on 4th and goal. Offense is first rate. Defense is still questionable. JU ran the ball 56 of the 58 plays they had. We are weak against the run and they had no passing game(2for2) to set up the run, yet still moved the ball almost at will. Penalties hurt the Dolphins early, but as it turned out our offense was just too much for them.
Just keep winning and go into the SDU game in first, or tied for first. Beat them and we have a shot at the playoffs. Lose and we probably don't go anywhere.

How do you throw 2 passes in a game? Even Navy will throw it 3 or 4.

Did ESPN on the College Football Final show just give kudos to the DAYTON quarterback for his 6 TD game.

So Calvin Turner, the QB, goes 2-2 in completions. He's also the leading rusher with 22 attempts, and 169 net yards. His first run of the game was a 72 yard touchdown, and even removing those 72 yards, he was the leading rusher.

Hard not to argue with selecting Trautman as PFL Player of the Week but I guess 6 TD passes aren't as big a deal as they used to be!
This was pretty nice too: https://twitter.com/DaytonFootball/s...63188120768512

I would rather talk about the game here than read the game stuff on the website. Does anyone know if Lutgens played this week?
Unfortunately, I had a church obligation Saturday and missed the game. I really wish I could have been there.
Going to Valpo and hopefully Stetson too. Love Flyers Football!

I do not believe LUTGENS played.
I know TRAUTMAN was the only one who went out for the coin toss.
EDIT: Just watched the FACEBOOK LIVE replay and as FlyerIllini pointed out below -- LUTGENS was on the field for the coin toss. Sun must've been in my eyes on Saturday.

Lutgens did not play, but he was on the field (including for the coin toss) in street clothes. Hopefully, he gets back soon b/c he's a difference maker on a defense that needs a couple.
