St., Bonaventure game
Good night to have a promotion for the first one hundred people to get a free UD blanket. Don't expect this to be much of a game but do keep an eye on #2 Johnson - effective point guard and #15 Calabrese has some decent post moves. Other than that not much there though they are an excellent free throw shooting team.

Our bigs have received a fair amount of criticism this year for their inability to finish inside. Well, tonight they got it done - Whitehead(3-4), Wilmoth(3-3), Chandler(3-5), Perez(3-4). That is 12-16. Overall,we shot 47%. Makes all the difference in the world. Yes, it is against the Bonnies, but at least it is against somebody. Do that in the A-10 tournament and we could go dancin. Props to the bigs!

Ok, I live out of town so I can't attend the women's games, but your post got me wondering about attendance in general since the men's attendance is a point of pride. So I looked it up for 18'-19'
Average Div1 Women's attendance is 770
Largest is South Carolina at 10,406
Average A10 attendance is 997 (A10 ranks 16th)
Largest is SEC at 4,227
Dayton's average is 2,373 (so far this year 2,827)
Saint Louis is second at 1,923

Truthfully, Dayton's average is distorted by more than 10-thousand for the education day game. I think the second best attendance has been 3300 against VCU.

And they're pulling a similar (but smaller) stunt for the Friday morning A10 tournament game.

I hadn't heard what promotion are you referring to for the start of the tournament?

The A10 women's tournament has traditionally brought in schools for the early sessions.

Throw out the education game and the average this year is about 2275 give or take a few.

Our school day may bring in more students than most, but many/most women's teams have a school day, and not just the A 10. So I see no reason to subtract those numbers from our average attendance.

I agree. Was just expanding on the effect of the ed day. Total attendance is what is is regardless of how attained. Flyers are tops in A-10.

Didn’t know about that. It would certainly distort the numbers, but other teams probably do the same thing more or less.
