St Louis game
This will be a tough and brutal game as it is Senior night. We traditionally do pretty poor at SLU.
I'll be there to root the flyers on. Thank goodness UD has already won the trophy outright and SLU is solidly in 4th place. Will be good tune up for the tourney.
Be nice to see the team that beat the Bonnies show up.

Announcers are crazy, crazy , partisan for St Louis. Really not a shred of balance in the broadcast.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. Kind of surprising -- usually the ESPN+ broadcasts are a lot more even. I get that they use local talent, but this is the worst I can remember.

Poor shooting continues. Luckily SLU isn't doing any better.
I really like Fowler's heart and determination, but if she drives into the trees one more time, I might scream.

22 Fouls between both teams in the 1st half. The refs must be out of breath.

Scaife moves to #9 all-time scoring with 1427 -- next up Kristin Daugherty (1498).

Scaife with 27. That might have just locked up a first team A-10 spot for her. When you go 15-1 in the league you usually get some all-conference consideration.

This game epidimized the sesson. First half much of what we'd seen most of the year. Second half a repeat of the Bonnies game.
Talked with Shauna s husband and he called it. Predicted the style of play for the 2nd half.
Refs are what they are. Called tick tack fouls and let players get knocked to the floor with no calls. Guess got to get use to it after all its the A10.

Mentioned to Shauna husband her being coach of the year. He shrugged it off saying she won it couple years ago. Kinda makes it sound like it's a participation trophy they rotate regardless of performance. Sad if so.

Loved the adjustments Shauna made in 4th qtr. Since bigs were having trouble in the paint finishing she moved bigs to parimeter with Jayla in the post where she was able to finish.

Shauna is a lock for coach of the year and anyone else would be a joke. I’ll amend Jayla now first team with cavenaugh, bazelak, Breen and player of the year Jorgensen

We have been waiting all year for that kind of game from Scaife, 27 pts, 9 boards, 3 assists and 0 turnovers and 40% shooting. I hope she is back from her injuries and whatever.

While it would be great to see Shauna take CoY again, an argument could be made for the Duquesne or UMass coaches, whose teams were preseason 8&9 picks and finished 3&4 respectively. No other teams significantly improved.
Fingers crossed for Jayla. We all know she deserves it!
