A-10 tourney attendance?

Anyone want to venture a guess as to what the Friday attendance will be? I'd think with whatever kids are there for UD that will be the high pint of attendance for the day then it will fall throughout like a cold front coming through. I'd guess 3,000 at its peak.

Seems the pricing for 3 days at 65 each day per person is a little pricy for seniors, and they make up most of the audience.

To come from out of town looking at gas, lodging, food and tickets will run over $500. For fixed income folks it's pricy.

I couldn't agree more I think the prices are too high across the board.

Wisdom would suggest lower prices to get more fans in the seats. Would look better on tv etc. Didnt see any prices for children.

I will say 4000 for Dayton day one and then 1000 for the other games on Friday. 2300 Saturday when Dayton advances and under 1000 for the other game.

When Dayton advances to the Sunday game the crowd is 1800.

Go Flyers

I agree that the prices are pretty high, I would guess they are set by the A10. On a per-game basis, a $65 ticket for 7 games isn't much, but let's be honest, most folks are there to see a particular team play and aren't interested much beyond that.

I don't know how much holding down prices would boost attendance to the women's games in general. We've been attending since the 2013-14 season. The first two years, the season ticket price was $30. In fact, we bought the first year during the media day event and they were running a 2 ticket for $30 special! AND the coupon on the back was $5 off $50 at Meijer, so we made money!

Then they went up to $50, then $80, then $100. So more than a 300 percent increase in 7 years. That's seems an unreasonable price hike to me. Did I pay it? I did, but the big increase still frosts me. I'll grant that $30 for the season is way low, but I think $100 is too high, especially considering that for the women's games the full range of concessions isn't available. They often run out of certain foods at that.

Maybe the market research shows that there's no price that will put more butts in the seats, so charge what the market will bear. I guess that $74M has to come from somewhere.

Seniors can get tickets for $10. (per game/day) Can't buy them online for that price.

Good crowd for Dayton game.

It will take some creative math to find more than 300 in the stands for second game...and that seems like it would be too high.
UMass band looks a lot like the Richmond band! 🙂

I think I read somewhere that it's a local high school or junior high band that's sitting in for opponents.
I'll try to find the story.

Saw where daytonflyers.com listed attendance at 2300 something while A10 listed it at 2985 for all sessions
