Game recap:

Painfully slow and lethargic first half by both teams. Flyers put it on a higher gear in second half to win fairly easily. The Bobcats are not very good. Lets get that out of the way right now. But UD did win 3-0 and recognized at halftime they were not playing well. This year any win is a good win as we are so individually and collectively challenged at times on the pitch.
To be 4-4-0 right now is probably fair based on our talent. Beaten all the teams we're better than, and probably been beaten by all the teams better than us.
Thought Alexis Kiehl did not have a great game despite finishing with 1g and 1a. She has a high ceiling so much is demanded and expected. Struggled w/first touch tonight and just getting loose in space. Also thought she could have challenged (and won) a few more loose balls just past the midfield stripe.
Morrissey came off the bench for good minutes. Gave us a spark. We subbed quite a bit -- some players run out of gas by about the 10 minute mark of the first half almost every game (while others don't). And its not because they are running more.
Nadia Pestell abused the Ohio right forward all game. It was like taking candy from a baby. She's still probably the second most consistent offensive-attacking player with the way she puts opposing players in tough situations on overlaps out of the back and crosses in the box. She had two great crosses tonight but nobody was there to finish.
Still a black hole in the midfield for long stretches. The lack of vision and inability to switch touches to the weak side for distribution is killing us at times from attacking the weak spots and stretching a team thin to create more passing lanes.
But, we did get a shutout win. That still counts for something.
