RPI
Came out today. Despite our dismal record, the Flyers come in at 129. No doubt this is due to our brutal schedule thus far, highlighted by two road series vs. Top-10 teams.

Jumped all the way to 99 after the beating of Akron.
Another huge opportunity this weekend. Ohio State's record isn't stellar (9-6), but they are 16th in the RPI.
Need a repeat of last year!

Back to 129 after another horrendous weekend showing. This team is beginning to look like the basketball team the way they blow leads. Doesn't look like the cancelled game from Saturday will be rescheduled, we shall see. As it stands OSU picks up a 2-0 sweep.
Next game Tuesday at home vs. another quality opponent NKU (11-7, RPI 89).

Not going to beat anybody surrendering 12 runs.
80% of college baseball is pitching.

Unless you score 14! Finally got to watch a game and what a beat down it was. Back up to 95 in the RPI after the drubbing of NKU. Onto Georgetown this weekend.
If only we played all our games during the week. Flyers are undefeated in mid-week games.

Unfortunately, it seems this team is just BAD. Playing a tough non-con is no longer covering up the numbers. It turns out you actually have to win some of the games.
RPI has plummeted to 200. Another game today vs. EKU. Here's to hoping they can pick up some momentum before the first A10 series this weekend against GW.

WE WON A SERIES!!!!! Albeit it against a similarly horrendous team. RPI sits at a paltry 245.
Let's build on this Fly Boys! I can't decide if I love or hate that nickname.

Another series win in somewhat dramatic fashion. Comeback win on Friday, 6-5. Demolished on Saturday and then another 6-5 win Sunday to steal the series. RPI creeping back up slowly, now at 236.
Next up is two very winnable mid-week games, one @NKU, the other vs. IPFW. Then onto an equally-winnable series against Davidson this weekend, albeit on the road.
No need to chime in folks, I'm happy being the only human being on the planet discussing Flyer baseball on the internet.

I'm paying attention...a friend's son plays so I'm always checking scores and stats.

Although both Flyer baseball and softball seem to be competitive in conference. both conferences struggle outside as each only have two teams over .500. One, GM, at .500 is baseball. Seems the women have a better shot, at a championship.

At 9-21 the Men are a lot cause until they recruit some talent. The women deserve our attention. They are 21-13 and 7-2 in conference, after winning six of the last seven.
