If I need an Advil for patting myself on the back, some of you might need surgery for your torn labrums.

I think back to the beginning of the season when under the new rules if you even got sweat on the opposition, a foul was called. Then look at last night where every time down the floor there was a felony in the lane that wasn't called. If we had played last nights game early in the season, there would have been 80 fouls called. The rules interpretations this year are an ever-changing dynamic. There is so much inconsistency the players aren't sure what to do.

Or the constant moving picks by #35. He was not called once. Every time Kyle or our defender tried to go around over top, he moved his shoulders or his entire body. Once he fouled out, our life on defense became much easier.

I think you just violated HIPPA.

His fouling out was possibly the key to our win. He was schooling us, and we were behind.

Dropping UD all the way down to 1 vote in the AP poll seems pretty excessive IMO. UD still only has 6 losses. Sheesh.

Have you watched the last 5 games? They don't deserve to be sniffing the Top 25 right now.

Getting beaten silly in our arena, losing 3 of 4 at a critical juncture. Have you seen them play? Did you watch us against an awful St. Louis- our only win among the four? Needed a miracle there and vs Duquesne. We haven't played well in almost a month since G Mason. Surprised we got anyone to vote, and that guy is every bit as big an idiot as those who were not voting for us back when the wheels were still on!!

I stopped paying attention, so I don't know where they stood in the rankings last week, but they are up to 27th in the AP and 29th in the coaches polls released today.
win 2 or 3 in Brooklyn and they'll likely be ranked next week in the final rankings (not that it will matter 1 bit at that point).

Someone tell me how Wichita St. can be the next team out of the Coaches poll but receive only one vote in the AP poll?
My educated guess is that the coaches don't really pay that much attention to other teams, especially out of conference teams. They go more on name than resume.

Progress indeed. Need to keep piling up the W's and own VCU and Rhody. I'd love to have that St. Mary's game back! Go Flyers!

Put this thread back in it's grave!!
We all know what will inevitably happen if UD gets ranked.

Is it the fact that UD gets ranked, or the fact that this thread gets resurrected?

Its the fact of what happens the week after UD gets ranked.
And we all know what happens. UD finds a way to lose a game.

Much better to be ranked than not ranked. Past history is not an indicator of future performance. Want to be a big boy?, ranking is part of that.

1. Past history isn't always great but future history is a fantastic indicator of future performance.
2. This does not apply in all situations. In a great many situations history is most definitely the best indicator of future performance.

A few votes for our Flyers. Of course just in time for a road game against VCU.

If we happen to win our next 2 road games... I believe at that point we are a top 25 team (regardless of what the rankings will say).

Looks like there were only two writers that voted for us. The VCU game is big for many reason, also included is that it is our only game this week Good place to "gather steam" with a huge W. Voters will notice.
