The Flyers regular season opponents are ranked 1, 9 and 13 in the A10 preseason poll. The Flyers are picked 4th overall. It is a tough pod in the sense that the Flyers will have 3 matches against preseason favorite St Louis, two of which are on the road!! Teams in other two pods likely won't have even close to the same difficulty of schedule. Imagine what playing Rhode Island twice instead of SLU thrice could do for a team on the cusp of that 4th seed.

The school became the Rhode Island College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts in 1892. If UMass, La Salle, or Fordham get in with the wild card over Dayton, this is where I early warned as to the possibility of it happening. This is a crucial make-or-break series at St Louis to end the season.

A tie will likely not be enough to ensure the points required to get into the wildcard slot. Dayton probably needs at least a win.

St Louis hasn't lost to a conference opponent at home since the A10 tournament on 10/28/17. Prior to that, it was last done on 10/22/15. (Both of these matches were against St Joe's.)
