Certainly, these ladies are deserving of consideration and awards.
IMHOP - Sheldon was just as deserving because of how she could influence a match.

The coaches read the stat sheets and vote accordingly which is why you rarely see an unsung hero win an award except maybe at center back. And the fact that the COY is nearly always the first place coach is kind of an absurd tradition to keep and I winced when this came up again. GW and VCU over the years, maybe Fordham and this year UMass comes to mind with their highest finish in 20 years, should be getting that award at least some of the time but instead it always goes to the preseason favorite for winning the games they were supposed to.

Had Sheldon's teammates been able to finish in the box this year, she may have led the A10 in assists. Too many were delivered on platters and not terminated.
Interesting that Kossler from UMass won both ROY and OPOY. I remember a time when Missy Gregg had about 18 goals and 9 assists as a freshman and was passed over for POY to a UMass senior named Emma Kurowski who had about 10 goals. Evidently back then they frowned upon giving a POY to a frosh and stiffed Missy. Somewhere along the way the rules have apparently changed -- and in both cases UMass was the beneficiary.
