La Salle game thread
While this should be an easy win and I'd like to see Christine Szabo get her first basket of the season, keep in mind the Explorers did defeat George Mason in overtime Saturday after losing to them by 17 on Valentine's Day. The Flyers against GM, no need to go over that again. The big story tonight could be the 15 points Jayla Scaife needs for 1000 career points. Wouldn't it be great to see 4000 there tonight?

Couple of other interesting notes about La Salle...
Over the past seven games, the Explorers have the best defensive field goal percentage in the league. La Salle has held opponents to just 33.7% from the floor, which is 2.4% better than the next best team. During that spurt, the Explorers are also holding opponents to 26.0% from long range for second best in the A-10. The Explorers are first in the A-10 in both steals (268) and steals per game (8.9).

They are 6-24. 1-15 on the road ... where they are tonight. We beat them by 39 last time. This team is so bad words desert me. Barney thinks they have recently turned into UConn!

That's not true at all, they have improved yes and I want to give them credit for that. It should still be a 30 point win.

La Salle slowing the game down as much as they can - using the full shot clock. Explorers are a bad bad team. Shauna subbing liberally.

I don't know that LaSalle is slowing it down as much as they aren't listening and executing what he wants, plus Dayton's D is playing well.
Good to see Davidson getting playing time. She looks pretty good for not playing much. Now get Skeens in there. Scaife, Cannatelli and Dennis been sitting a lot.
Go Flyers

Would be nice to see Skeens get some extended minutes. We'll need her on line next year. Get her some seasoning.

Playing bench, resting starters, smart.
Too bad they didn't show senior cerimonies at the half. Guess out of towners don't count

In other A-10 tournament action -
Duquesne puts up 42 points in first quarter and leads URI 66-36 at the half
Davidson leads SBU 41-21 at the half. Assuming we win,we got the winner of this game.
UMass beats GMU in 2 ot- 86-80
SJU over GWU 61-49

Cannatelli moves into 15th place all time scoring with 1311 -- 26 away from #14 Michel Kruty (1337). A deep run in the A10 tourney gives her a chance for 10th place -- only 69 points from #10 Tammy Stritenberger (1380).
Scaife needs just 5 more points for 1000 -- wish she could have done it in front of the home crowd -- such that it was -- only 1001 folks in the stands tonight. And...today is her BIRTHDAY so that would have been a nice present!!
