Some big commits in the next three years, but this may be the biggest. She was ranked as the #1 eight grader.

They rate them in 8th grade! My guess: good player, student, and kid.

She had two D1 offers in 8th grade. Check out her 3 point shooting. She shoots 700 shots three times a week. As hard as she works, the ACL will be a blip on her radar.

She is a straight A student. Victoria was invited to the tryouts for the U17 USA Team. Recently posted by her father and coach on our Facebook Page: “My Daughter Victoria Oglesby (8th Grade) selected by The Team USA Women’s Basketball Committee as one of a 135 Girls In America to tryout for the USA 17U National Team this Spring! We were notified by the Assistant Women’s National Team Director, Jamie Carey this afternoon."

Few videos:
What do I see in these videos? Well. Like every highlight video they may be edited for content so to speak. But some are long enough to show some consistent shooting and dribbling skills.
But what I like most is the work ethic. Oglesby looks like a kid driven to reach her ceiling whatever that ceiling is. And coming back from ACL surgery is not easy. Ive done it! I see a kid that works HARD. She takes practice seriously. Her challenge at the next level will be overcoming her size (5-6) as a shooting guard. But if shes a PG with Giacone, she may create her own offense. Either way I see a lot to work with if she remains healthy.
JJ has to be very happy (again). He's bringing in talent.

Welcome Victoria!
I agree on all of this. Not only is she a very hard worker but she is also getting very good coaching. It would appear that she will score a lot of points
If that is her younger brother we might keep our eye on him also!

She is listed at 5"8" ESPN recruiting info.

That Indian girl on Louisville was only 5"6". Big thing can come in small packages.

Oglesby, V - ESPN and Avid Flyer
I noticed Avid Flyer's link to ESPN, but noted that Victoria has only an 89 and three star rating (I think Amber Deane was about this rating). This may be partly due to the ACL and she has time to raise that rating. The same site for Dayton and 2018 has under "Considering" Mykasa Robinson, a point guard from KY with a 97 and 5 star rating. The 97 rating is better than any of our three recruits for next year.
What I would like to see is a quality "big" ( 6'2" or greater ) and from USA.

After decommitting from Dayton...and then Old Dominion...Oglesby ends up (for now) at Oakland. I'm slightly stunned. Strange how cookies crumble sometimes.

At 5'6" her speed is probably is huge part of her game. If Oglesby has not fully recovered from her knee problems, then she is not the player she once was.
