West Palm Beach games
After Evansville, the games next week against Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech will present quite a challenge. VT is 9-and-oh, their best win is by two over Villanova. They have players who average 17, 14 and 13 ppg. GT is 7-and-2 losing to Maryland by 13 and to Houston in double overtime. They beat George Washington from the A-10 by 15 and they have a guard from Italy who averages 16 ppg and a freshman guard who averages 12 ppg.

Any link for a free stream of the Virginia Tech game? I'm too cheap to spend the eight bucks. Anything on Reddit or anywhere?

Try this.
https://portal.stretchinternet.com/k...reamType=video
I had brought up the earlier game and left it on. When i went from the link on our website, I got the pay notice. I went back to the page I had up earlier and clicked on the arrow and our game was showing.
Edit: I tried the link and it now brings up the other two games that have now been played. So I believe you will be able to use the link to watch a replay when our game is completed. I have no idea how I am able to watch it live.

Thanks for the link. Hope I can watch after it's over. Funny thing is that the game stats sheet has UD and VT reversed - UD's players are listed under VT and vice versa. And the play by play recap is several minutes behind the score updates. Pretty bush league. Everybody's at the beach apparently...

And the graphic at the bottom of the screen says "DU" . (Our audio announcer is pretty good. He now travels to all the away games. )

UD was within 4 but a technical on Maddy Dennis has swung the momentum , VT now up by nine halfway through the third.

The box score says there were no technicals.

29 % fg% and 18% on 3’s will lose about every game. The Wilmouth, Ward, Dennis ofor debacle continues. And Maddy and Jordan each had four fouls in just 9 minutes. If they played all game and couldn’t foul out they’d each commit 18 fouls at that pace. Might be grounds for assault. Unbeliveable, they both continue to regress. And Phillips, a wasted scholarship, 23 minutes-no shots?? Quite a team we have. Go Flyers????

There was a flagrant foul called on Maddie yesterday that after the game Shauna wasn't sure what happened and without a replay system was unsure how that call could've been made. Lauren and Jayla combined for 43, can;t win with just those two scoring and take all of the shots.

Actually thought at first glance I was on the men's board. Saw 18%...Jordan...23 minutes without a shot and thought you were talking about Jordan Davis, Ryan Mikesell (30 minutes before his first shot).
Maybe there is something in the campus water negatively affecting both squads on the court.

I know Shauna wanted to schedule hard to benefit a potential NCAA tourney bid but it's probably a one bid league so the three days in Pittsburgh will determine NCAA or WNIT. Thank goodness the A-10 games are coming.

Whats downtight amazing is if we could just hit some shots, we'd have 3-4 more wins. Our defensive statistics are extremely good. Allowing .356 FG% and .254 3FG%. Most teams hardly lose with those kinds of numbers. The flip side is we're shooting .373 FG% and .302 3FG% which is marginally better but barely. Fouls and turnovers are whats swinging the results.
If we just shoot 42-44% and 35-37% from trey, even with fouls and turnovers we're probably 7-3 instead of 4-6 without doing anything else.
Its still a game about putting the biscuit in the basket. We're second in the A10 in defensive FG% but just 10th when shooting the ball ourselves.

Here's another issue, when Bradshaw is the leading rebounder like yesterday at eight that's a problem. Georgia Tech could win the boards handily today which is a concern.

Giacone has done an admirable job with Bradshaw in foul trouble, a couple of three's and Dennis has hit a couple of shots and near the end of the half despite 9 of 32 FG (but 4 of 10) 3 pt UD with the lead and winning the boards 25-18 with 12 offensive boards.

Only down 3 while shooting 28%. Got some bench production from Giacone and Dennis. Nothing inside but GT height is a problem. Announcer felt we got back in it with hustle.

Cannatelli drains a THREE -- Dayton up 49-42. I believe that moves her past Kendel Ross in all-time scoring.

One has to be happy for Dennis. She has struggled for 4 years, in a foreign country no less, but she has stuck it out through everything. To have a game like she did today is something none of us saw coming. Kudos to her for 4 years of grit and determination. Can she do it again? Who knows. Just enjoy it today. Well done Maddy!
Hey Maddog - a little love for Maddy today?
Another player that has shown significant progress over the last 3 or 4 games is Giacone. She handles the rock with poise when running the point. It has been a quiet progression but certainly noticeable. Today she goes for 9 points on 3 of 5 treys, 4 assists, and no turnovers. Goodness knows she has faced medical adversity in her first 2 years and seems to be finally healthy. Another big contribution off the bench.
These 2 games in Florida moved us up almost 60 spots in the RPI to 74. Now on to conference play. We may well be favored in every remaining game - other than perhaps at Duquesne. It is a very weak A-10 this year. Still, what a way to end non-con play and get ready for conference play. Two weeks off until LaSalle at the arena. Shauna has to be pleased where we are right now.

Yes she played pretty well today. Finally had a game where she tempered her 3 point addiction. She’s been a disaster for most of her career with 95 fouls vs 83 baskets. A pitiful 31% fg% and < 3points per game. Really looking forward to her graduation.

That's really cold and actually unnecessary. Do you think for one minute that she herself wouldn't have liked to have done better? Not too late for those Senior endorphins to kick in.

1308 would put her at #15 (Tobette Plesant) and 1380 at #10 (Tammy Stritenberger) -- she has a decent shot at #10 but it will not be easy. If not, she will get REALLY close.
