Massachusetts Game Thread

I'm sure the attendance won;t be helped by the men playing at GW same time though without ESPN Plus I believe no way to watch the men either. This should be more competitive than La Salle - U Mass 9-and-6 and a common opponent in Northeastern. UD lost to them in ot while UMass lost by one after being outscored by 7 in the fourth quarter. They also have losses by 25 to Towson, 19 to Bucknell and they loss to UMass Lowell. They have one of the best and fun players to watch in junior Haley Leidel who has 1140 points and this year averages 14 a game and 7.4 rebounds.

I live in Columbus and cannot make weekday games unfortunately. This will be the first home game I will have missed this season. However, as a superstitious former ball player, I am going to be sure that I am wearing the same tee shirt and shorts I have to each of the home wins (yes like an idiot I changed my attire for the Northeastern game...sorry).

I will do my part Flyers, please go out and do yours by bringing home a victory over the Minutewomen!

Go Flyers

I don't think you'll have anything to worry about - I'm not a big fan of "Minutewomen" I know that's what they are called, I think I will stick with UMASS as much as I can tonight on the broadcast.

Shouldn't it be "Minutepersons?"

Called off the pups the last 7 minutes. Fine with me. We had done enough. UMass is up and down. Have some abysmal losses, but recently beat Top-100 RPI Marist and lost by just 1 to 12-1 #28 Northeastern -- the same team we lost to at home in OT.

Yeah, that was too bad. She played a good game, with lots of hustle.

What I want to know is how the shortest player on the floor ends up with the most rebounds on either team?

Quickness, instinct, and hustle? Props to Fowler for an outstanding effort and game. She is listed on the roster at 5' 6" - perhaps in stilettos.

Like she said on post game when I asked Fowler about rebounding she has a nickname of "Shaq." GREAT Defense on Leidel limiting her to five points - Lauren stuck with her much of the time and got help from many others as well. I remember when critics on this site ripped Lauren for her defense unjustly.

Coach Green said 5'2" on her post-game show.
