Golden It's Raining 3s Award - UMass
Holloway's a pig...there, I said it.
And our 3-point shooting was key to this afternoon's YUGE win over UMass.
But who's 3s were biggest?? Or was some other factor more important? Looking at the box score, I'd say 'no', but I'm sure someone out there will disagree.
Vote away...VCU next!
King Rollo the Thankful...OUT!

Could have gone with Josh because he was a force early, then Davis with second strong game with the 3 ball, but ended up with Crutcher, just because in addition to shooting the 3 ball today, he's still the floor general.

Without Jordan Davis early, this game has a different ending.
Also, he will be A10 player if the week

Crutcher and Davis played equal offensive games, but Davis gets the nod with his defense.

Without back-to-back amazing performances from JD this team is 1-2 in the A10.

JD.
Although JD, TL, and Crutch carried the 2nd half.
The team missed a lot of bunnies today.

I voted for Jordan Davis because whenever we had to have a clutch 3 pointer he was up to the task. Also, he did a serviceable job on Pipkens who is not easy to guard!

Agreed, which is why I voted for Jordan. He played as close to lockdown D on Pipkins as anyone in a Flyer uni has ever played against that guy. If Pipkins had been allowed to go off on us like he did last year, then we’d be voting on goat horns instead of a hero medal. Thus, Jordan.

Wow, it took 10 of 13 treys from Davis and Crutcher to win this AT HOME. I thought A-10 play would be much easier after our tough OOC.

Never...the A-10, despite it being a "down" league, always seems to muster a very good guard or two and a big man or two on every team.

J. Davis back to back. His shooting carried us. How did Mikesell get on the poll? He’s not contributing much. 3 of his last 20 from 3!

Another big game from Jordan Davis, but CLutcher is Player of the Game. The two free throws and then the silky smooth trey was very Scoochie-esque when the game was still very much in doubt. We needed someone to step up and score in crunch time, and CLutcher was The Man.

JD raised his average from 0.253 to 0.353 in 2 games. I wonder if anyone has ever raised their average that much in 2 games in UD history, minimum 10 games (?) into the season, minimum 50 (?) 3's taken.
Figgie, that's a tall order, too much to ask?

Since 2000-01, no, noone has improved by more than the 10% that Jordan Davis did. Brooks Hall had a 4.48% increase after going 11-20 over 2 games for 2nd place.

As long as sophomores Crutcher and JDavis keep getting Golden Poll Awards, the next couple of years should be fun. Throw Toppin into that mix, and how could you feel differently?
