Brian Gregory returns to UD
BG brought his 12-4 South Florida to UD to practice in preparation for playing at UC on Tuesday. His team lost in OT at Temple on Saturday and chose not to return to Tampa between games. He was welcomed back to UD to practice at the Cronin Center where he was visited by Bucky Bockhorn.

And equal class from Brian Gregory. He loves UD as does his wife. I still contend he would have been a more successful coach without his hockey line substitutions.

Genuinely good guy and I wish him well. But yes, he can keep the hockey substitutions in Tampa. Maybe leave some of the defensive grit?! His teams certainly could knuckle down and make life miserable for opponents.

Dinner
I'll bet BG and his wife didn't leave Dayton without having dinner at the Pine Club....one of BG's favorites.

I was at BG's first game as a head coach versus Pepperdine. I'll never forget how nervous he looked on the sideline before the game. I chatted with a couple of his friends in the stands before the game. They said how excited he was to be at Dayton and what a great guy he is.
Glad he's doing well with the Bulls, he'll always be a Flyer, though.

I was at that game too. He was so nervous - I was wearing UD gear and walked right behind the bench during warmups - we lock eyes and I could tell he was jittery. That was a great win and then onto the Maui championship less than a week later.

@JonRothstein
The rise of Memphis coincides with the rise of the American. Houston, South Florida, Wichita State, Temple, and the Tigers will all enter next season as teams expecting to compete for an NCAA bid in 2020. Cincinnati will depend on whether Jarron Cumberland stays or goes.
