George Washington
Hopefully Jayla is healthy today because Prange will be healthier than when GW visited last month.

Layfield is dressed but coughing on the sidelines sitting next to coach green. Probably not play if not needed. Got a cold I guess.

Dayton leads 29-24 at halftime.
Burdette and Cannatelli both with 7 pts, Ward with 6 pts.
Burdette also with 5 rebs.

Wow halftime report and they can't even mention UD or GW. That's what's wrong with women's bball. Only one team gets all the press even when they are not playing. Share the news there are other teams out there.

Too many forced dribble drives. One basket in 6+ minutes.
We have allowed GW ten more shots than us.

Duck back in the bus and take an ugly win on the road.

Dayton played to their strength last 2 min.....defense. the O wasn't working, GW had the MO but UD had the D.
All wins are pretty even when played ugly.

Winning 14 games in a row....half on the road.... is nothing to sneeze at. But, as far as the Flyers ranking is concerned, I think the issue is strength of schedule....in the ~120 range.

Probably luckier than good in the 4th quarter. We got away with one despite Turnover City and giving up too many threes late. Somehow we eeked this out. GW is tough to beat at home.
Probably the best news of the weekend is Duquesne lost at home to SJU this weekend, giving us a bit more breathing room in the race for the regular season title. We have three tough games remaining against 3 of the top 4 other teams in the league.
This thing is far from over. Gotta keep taking care of business.

Yes 1 bid unless someone takes the A10 tourney and auto bid.
St Joe is now at full strength and could be dangerous.

You see the difference this weekend between the women, a veteran team, and the men, a young team. The men lose their second OT game, and struggle to do the right things in OT. The women sucked it up, and ran an awesome play with great passing to give Harris a layup, and then made the defensive stops at the end.
That passing and layup was very impressive.

Do you mean....."yes, one bid,....the A10 tourney winner, only"? That is, the Flyers only shot at the NCAAs is if we win the tourney. (?)

If they go undefeated or even one loss they should still get to the NCAA tourney even slipping up in the A-10 tourney.

Seeding
OK,....I hope we make it. If we do, our play the rest of the way and in the tournament will determine our NCAA seeding.
We lost to two ranked teams in relatively close games. Since then the caliber of teams we've been playing has been average at best...hence our low SoS ranking.
For both the men and women making the Dance is not enough. Winning in the NCAAs matters. Last year the men got shafted unbelievably by their seeding....our tough luck. Whatever, hopefully the women make it and play well when they get there.

IMHOP-
Win out and lose in A-10 tournament - should be ok.
Lose 1 and then another in A-10 tournament - big time bubblicious.
When your are the #12 conference in the country - below the Mid-American, Ivy, Colonial, and Horizon - you get very little respect.
Currently - RPI=39, Non-Con SOS=64, Single top 50 win (UVA)
One other note - GDub has won or shared the A-10 title the last 3 years. We also had not won at GDub in 6 years. To win today with an ailing Layfield is no small accomplishment.

The women are getting some of their injured players back.
Ward looked really out of shape coming in after her injury but today she looked much better and contibuted points and rebounds.
UACFLYER yeah should have been more clearer but UD should be in even if they lose A10, barring any calamities. Only Calamity UD is allowed is the assistant coach.
If UD wins A10 tournament think they are only team from A10 NCAA bound.
