Think how Jablonski feels—he’s 4 miles away and would be covering it live for The DDN.

Former Flyers Devin and Kyle missing some key free-throws. Trevor Thompson is a load for Red Scare. He is tough.

75-68... Red Scare put them away. Huge threes by Mikesell and Darryl Davis down the stretch. These two guys had pretty nice games. Kyle was his usual tough on defense. Devon was trying to do way too much at times. Trevor Thompson was very tough in the paint. Trey was Trey...blue-collar pit bull on the glass. Their real weakness is lack of a true point guard, but they played nice defense down the stretch...forced a lot of ill-advised threes by Big X.

I loved that exchange between Trey and Ryan right after the game. That was priceless. It's no replacement for March, but it's better than nothing.
I hope DMO finds his groove for next game. He looked really out of sync.

To have DMO play that bad and still win...pretty impressive.
McMahon and Thompson were incredible. There was a point where Hughes bumped into McMahon and talked some trash. After that McMahon hit a bunch of 3s and Hughes struggled down the stretch.
DD and Miksell HUGE down the stretch. I think Ryan had three 3s? We looked pretty rusty and still managed to get a win against a pretty good team with a legit big man. Good sign.

Red Scare plays House of 'Paign who beat last year's champ Carmen's Crew. Never gets old to see Craft and Ohio State lose.

Why is it that during the first quarter I was screaming at the screen the same things I screamed while they were playing at the Arena?
- DMO! Stop shooting 3s!
- Kyle! Stop shooting 3s!
- Jalen! You can't move your hip during a high ball screen!
- Mikesell! Can't you hit threes? Finally!

And during the final minutes when we went 2-7 at the line I was reminded when the Flyers couldn’t shoot free throws. TBT...ahhh the good old days.

Devon Oliver was trying to force way too much in the game. I think part of his problem is he needs a penetrating point guard to set him up. That is their weak link. If I am not mistaken, Darryl Davis was playing the point during several intervals. Darryl had a nice game down the stretch, and Kyle made some key defensive plays down the stretch...and Kyle can still finish on a break.

Ryan Mikesell joined Larry Hansgen on the WHIO morning show today. Short interview about the game, the bubble, etc. Great kid.
Not sure if they make those kinds of interviews into podcasts or not.

What are the restrictions for someone playing?
could UK put together a team featuring CAT, John Wall, Murrary, etc...? or are NBA players limited?
Could BRob come play for UD, or is past NBA experience limited?

There are ex NBA players on some teams. If you had a current NBA contract I would guess they would be prohibited from playing.

Just saw 7 time NBA All star Joe Johnson is on the overseas elite team.
They, uh...might be tough to beat
I assume it would violate NBA contracts for active players to be playing in things like these

No restrictions. Anyone can apply. BRob absolutely. You could put together a team and apply, but they only selected the top 24 teams this year. Usually it is top 64 teams of applicants.
Current NBA players would be restricted by the NBA. They aren't restricted by the TBT.
Lots of overseas players and a handful of retired NBA guys or NBA experience but now overseas.

I assume it comes from sponsors, tv money, and ticket sales. It was $2 million prize the last few years. I figured less because no tickets sold this year.
Zelle (an app like Venmo) sponsors, they constantly talk about how much money each person will get if they win and that Zelle will deposit directly to their account. Puma's name is all over the court too.

[QUOTE: Trey Landers should be coaching on the Flyers staff.[/QUOTE]
Maybe, just maybe, that could be in the future! He is definitely a leader!

The Elam ending--invented by a UD grad--is the best thing to happen to basketball since the 3 point line.
If I had to pick one of the 2, I'd pick the Elam ending.

Devin Oliver will probably be the difference in this game. We’ll need everything we got in game one from others, but Oliver will need to break thru the rust of four months off and give us a +15 point game.

Red Scare gave me a scare. Big lead evaporated but they held on to give some pain to the House.
