SOS
All numbers are based on Figgie rpi as of early Monday morning 10/24.
Very happy to see Dayton at #30 rpi this am. We got great help from "down schedule" wins.
First we took care of business and came out of the weekend with two wins. Our best-in-nation record of 22-1 is helping to balance our weaker schedule. UD's SOS moved from a rank of 150 to 144. We are still the weakest schedule in the top 60 rpi teams, but we have a couple teams we have already played that are playing better and getting on a roll. SLU and X are playing their best ball right now.
Our +20 win-loss differential is helping everyone we play. For example, Duquesne went into the weekend with a SOS ranking of 300 and came out with a 277 rank. The list to both UD and SLU. SLU has the best SOS rank in the A10 and UD the best record, so both of those helped DUQ.
Today we have the following rpis left to play- regular season:
109 SLU
138 Ohio
159 VCU
171 DUQ
227 Davidson
249 LaSalle
277 Morehead State

After Moehead St, Figgie rpi has us at 36 in the section that is closest to the NCAA rpi. SLU this weekend will help both UD and SLU.
SLU sits at 98 at the same Figgie rpi. They sit at 102 without the bonuses. But after this weekend, when UDs +22 wins get folded into their rpi, they should be safely above the 100 mark.
We absorb their very solid SOS which is currently ranked 57th. That will help us.
We will have our hand full with SLU. They are getting better with their other OH back and moving to one setter. I expect them to finish 2nd in the a10, winning the rest of their matches except the one tomorrow against UD, and going into the conference tourney a very dangerous team. They host the championship. Winning the tourney will probably their only shot at the NCAAs. We don't want tomorrow to be close which will give them hope once we get to tournament matches.

With the A10 tournament being played in St Louis you want them to leave dayton thinking they are outmatched. You don't want them to feel that a couple of tweaks give them a big chance of winning
I'm looking forward to seeing the match this weekend because both teams know this is a big one. Also looking forward to seeing rygelski and forming my own opinion of her
