The Day After

BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -- Wearing a big ole smile right now after "The Late Show on truTV" last night/this morning. Let's get straight to some outstanding linkage, shall we?

-- Rush the Court provides us with their "Rushed Reaction" to the UD/PC game:

http://rushthecourt.net/2015/03/21/r...source=twitter

-- Call me biased, but I prefer David Jablonski's blog summary on The DDN website much more:

http://daytonflyers.blog.daytondaily...w-in-columbus/

-- Even better, David took the time to surf Twitter and come up with these reactions to the Flyers upset of the Friars:

http://daytonflyers.blog.daytondaily...ng-providence/

-- Speaking of David, his wife is also a photog and shot the game for The Columbus Dispatch. Here are her pics:

And here are David's:

Nice work Jabalonskis!

-- I normally like the writing of Matt Norlander at CBS Sports but this game summary sounds like it was ghost written by Doug Gottlieb:

The 'T' on Ed Cooley was hardly a game changer, Matt, as UD had already taken control of the contest...but it was a BS call. And if you think the atmosphere Friday night was like a home game for UD, just wait until Sunday evening vs. the Sooners!

-- The UD upset of Providence reduced the number of perfect brackets in the ESPN 2015 Men's Tournament Challenge from six to one...out of the total of 11,570,000 entries. Unfortunately, the lone survivor chose Oklahoma to beat UD:

The Flyers and their fans say "sorry" in advance, dude/dudette.

-- If you are wondering why Warren Buffet didn't pony up the $1 billion prize for a perfect NCAA Tournament bracket this year, here is why:

-- Here is the Oklahoma/Albany game summary. The Sooners didn't exactly run away from or all over the Great Danes in this one:

http://www.cbssports.com/collegebask...caa-hump-69-60

-- Really nice piece on Columbus native and UD walkon Jeremiah Bonsu:

http://buckeyextra.dispatch.com/cont...su-dayton.html

-- Here are all of the tipoff times, TV networks providing coverage and announcing teams for the Round of 32 games:

http://zagsblog.com/articles/ncaa-to...t-tip-times-2/

-- It seems everyone has a Bill Raftery story:

http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/J...h/Raftery.aspx

Really wish Raft was in Columbus instead of Doug Gottlieb. Love how they use his "Kiss to be remembered line" in the CBS NCAA Tournament game intro, but they cut out the "in Dayton" part,

-- Eamon Brennan at ESPN is absolutley correct -- the only universal axiom when it comes to March Madness is that you never know what yu are gonna get:

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-bask...caa-tournament

-- Interesting piece from Grantland on "How the NCAA Accidentally Killed Scoring in Men’s College Basketball":

http://grantland.com/the-triangle/co...oring-problem/

-- Talk about "elective surgery!" The number of vasectomies goes up 50% during March Madness:

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-bask...-espn-magazine

-- "The Unsweet Tweet of the Day" comes to us from CBS Sports Gary Parrish at halftime of the PC game:

truTV should let Dayton’s local announcers handle the 2nd half so we can commit completely to the Flyers’ never-ending homecourt advantage.

I'm sure Larry and Bucky would have been happy to do it, Gary! Guess we'll just have to wait until the Final Four for it to actually happen, tho:

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/co...icle-1.1718092

-- "The Sweet Tweet of the Day" goes to "The Hometown Coach" Mark Adams:

These are the modern glory days of Dayton Flyer basketball. Enjoy every second of it. All you Flyer Fanatics deserve it!

That’s it “From the Swamp.”

I loved the tweet:

"They let us in. They didn't tell us we had to leave."
