WNIT
On the official WNIT site, Dayton posted as an auto qualifier.
https://womensnit.com/index.aspx?path=gen
They are having 4 regional sites and looks like the usual number of teams.
https://womensnit.com/documents/2021...path=post_wnit
Closest regional is Rockford, IL, then Memphis TN

I think the premise is to give the kids two games and a chance to hone their craft and play on the big stage. With fewer teams in the tournament, there are extra timeslots available. Some teams have to travel along awfully long way only to lose one game.

Because this is an extension of 2020 when nothing ever made sense. Hope we never see these conditions again. Let's just play hoops and pretend like it's Senior night again.

Same number of wins each team but northern has nine more losses not much can get from results but they did get into a shootout with Iowa so Flyers defense like every game will be key

Any TV coverage? If we make it to Round 3, we might see SLU again.

What the heck is George Washington doing that’s asinine after a couple of lean years. I remember what a mess they were with mike bozeman. I get angry when some pencil pusher makes ignorant decisions. anyway tv is through a subscription service called flo hoops I believe $30 a month

Let me elaborate on this - GW women's basketball I doubt is a money maker for the University - in fact I bet they will lose a boat load of money here on Jen's buyout AND paying her successor. I don't know her contract status which to me is not relevant. Bottom line, ok she went .500 basically in five years and that merits getting fired? She's had success there and always gave UD fits. In the meantime, not that I want to see anyone frankly go there but how about the successful Milwaukee Coach Kyle Rechlich who was an assistant on Jabir's staff?

Speaking of GW, Wisconsin fired Jonathan Tsipis after five years and a 50-99 record. He was hired from GW where he went 92-38 in four years including two NCAAs and 29-4 and 26-7 in his last two years. He had Jonquel Jones who tore the A10 up. He had GW as good or better than Dayton at the time. Good coach, but like so many others pined for the bigger conference and brand and is now out of a job.
Grass is not always greener.

Recall that Rizzotti was an All American on one of UConn's first National Championship teams. She coached at the U. of Hartford for 15+ years where she was very successful. Jen Rizzotti is very well known and is very popular in CT especially with UConn fans.
That's why it was a surprise when she left Hartford for the GW job. My thought at the time was that Rizzotti knew/thought that she had the inside track as Auriemma's successor, but felt that a bit of experience at school in a higher level conference would be helpful. Considering her success and longevity at Hartford I can think of no other reason why she would take the GW job. Well, that's just my personal theory. It would seem that being fired from GW doesn't help her case.
Replacing a guy like Auriemma, who is expected to retire in a year or two, will be no easy task, to say the very least. That's why I felt that the enormous good will in CT possessed by Rizzotti would provide a significant edge. Maybe I'm still on the right track. But being let go by GW isn't helpful.

Maybe Tsipsis will go back to GW. Interesting last winning season for Wisconsin 2010-11 when current Billikens coach Lisa Stone was there.
