I agree with this, particularly on insults. And I apologize for any insults I’ve thrown out here or elsewhere. But I’ll also say that when you throw out the same argument over and over again (whether it be UD2’s about the schedule or the coach or whatever), you’re going to catch some heat. Especially when those arguments are made in the absence of facts. Look, Grant could fall on his face next year. And I’d expect his detractors to say “I told you so.” That’s the nature of opinion. But when you say a Miller assistant coach could have done what Grant did this year, that’s conjecture. Facts are facts. AG’s team just produced the best W/L results in school history, and to suggest his coaching had nothing to do with it is just silly. As someone else said, the players lift the coach and the coach lifts the players. For one season at least, a coach and a player are earning their just plaudits. At least from most reasonable people.

Out on the men’s twitter account I was surprised that several former players from Alabama reached out to post congrats to Grant. I think that says a lot about the man.

Like any discussion forum, there are a few "bad apples". People who live in a negative world and need feedback or attention in anyway possible. As a professional in the psychiatric field I won't bore you with diagnosis etc. Just know they're on every forum and will do anything for attention-bad attention (like children tend to do). It's best to ignore them--but impossible when so many are in a group and can interact with them. There is always one person willing to take the bait-and the beat goes on.

According to you know who:
"The American Colonies would of been better off with King George."
"The Bolsheviks would have done much better if they had just kept Lenin in power."
"The Japanese would have gotten a better deal at the end of WWII if they had won 'The Battle of Midway'."
"Star Wars would have been more interesting if Skywalker had turned to the DARK SIDE."
AND "It has been proven that Putin helped YKW"!
........... and other less well known truisms"

Some VCU former players did the same after the AP award. Posted pictures with him coming back for their graduation 2 years after he went AL.

He came back, to see them graduate. That’s a true indicator of character. Glad we have him!

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - It was an incredible season but it had a gut-wrenching ending.
The Big West champion Gauchos lost by one point in the final seconds to Creighton as UCSB was denied their first NCAA Tournament win since 1990.
The Gauchos were making their first appearance in the Big Dance in ten years after a sensational season in which they won the Big West regular season title and the Big West Tournament.
Joe Pasternack has won 20 or more games in each of his four seasons at UCSB, that has never been done before in the Gauchos program.
