From The Athletic
There were dozens of players who performed well this week and cemented their draft status, but I feel confident saying the following 14 players made money and will be drafted higher than they would have been a week ago.
Adam Trautman, TE, Dayton (6-foot-5, 251 pounds)
This is going to sound very hot take-ish, but Trautman has a legitimate case to be the first tight end drafted in April. Entering Senior Bowl week, he was TE2 (behind only Notre Dame’s Cole Kmet), and after seeing him live, his on-field athleticism is a really impressive part of his game that rivals Kmet’s in a lot of ways. Trautman has been on the NFL radar for over a year (here is my profile on him from September), and he was considered a top-75 pick entering this week. However, he has put himself in the top-50 conversation with his Senior Bowl week. Trautman showed he wasn’t just a small-school standout who beat up on lower competition; he has legitimate NFL starting traits as a wide receiver and blocker.
During team drills, Trautman, who is lined up on the far hash, does an excellent job against safety Jeremy Chinn, immediately gaining leverage and straightening the route before breaking off toward the right sideline. The athleticism and details of the perfectly executed route gave Shea Patterson a wide-open window for 6.

So is Google telling me the truth, that our Flyers have not had a player selected in the NFL Draft since 1977? Thanks

Was the last guy drafted Testerman the basketball player? I think I remember him going in the 17th round as a tight end.

Didn't know about Testerman, but perhaps the next-to-last Flyer drafted (by the Steelers) in '76 was Kelvin Kirk, who I had in one of my classes when I was teaching at Dunbar in '72. He was nicknamed Mr. Irrelevant because he was the last guy drafted. Kelvin, who passed away several years ago, had a spectacular career with several CFL clubs.

I see the NFL network has him rated as the #4 TE in the draft. Not too shabby for a player from the Pioneer League.

Getting some ESPN love in QB/pass catcher report from NFL combine.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2020/s...-work-thursday
The relevant snippet: “Don't miss: Tight end Adam Trautman was a lightly recruited prep quarterback when he went to Dayton, but in an NFL looking for pass-catchers who can put pressure on a defense all over the field, he has a growing fan club.”

"his 6.78 time in the three-cone drill indicates elite-level change-of-direction abilities. Heck, it was faster than all but one wide receiver."

Being a LL Giant fan myself you need to wash your mouth out with soap. Either that or have Sister Mary Joseph slap your fingers with a ruler ....
Take your pick!

Pittsburgh Post Gazette
Nice article on Trautman in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. He could be our next Heath Miller!
