George Washington Game Thread

Solid start to Conference Play now we head to the Smith Center for our 1st Road Game on Wednesday Night. Just Win, should be the motto on the road this year, doesn't matter if we play La Salle/GW VCU... We won 1 road conference game all of the last year, just get the job done. The Colonials are not very good even though they went to Hawk Hill this afternoon and won.

Game is on Wednesday Night at 7 PM and will be shown on ESPN+, not sure if it's on TV.

Starting Lineup:

They are lead by both Nolan and Williams, who both average 12.9 PPG. They are not a very good offensive team at all... 64.4 PPG 40.9 FG% 31.1 3PT% 63.7 FT%.

Normally this is a place we were we have had trouble in the past... Just get the win, I don't care how (Win by 1 or Win by 30)... Do your job... Take care of the ball and hit some shots.

I read the Game Notes for the first time this year and found a couple interesting facts.

1. Obi gained 24 lbs last year as a redshirt and impressed everyone with his work ethic in practice.
2. Obi had 3 dunks in the first 5 minutes of his college career.
3. UD’s leading scorer the last 7 years has been a transfer. Josh is on track to make it 8 years, but IMO, it will tough next year to beat out Obi for the scoring title. It will probably take someone lighting it up from 3. Calling out Chapman, Watson, Johnson...bring it.

That first 8 minutes or so were the most stagnant offense I have ever seen for the Flyers. Nobody moved - just pass to somebody standing still, nobody move, pass to somebody else standing still, nobody move. Lather/Rinse/Repeat. Meanwhile GW was going 10 for 10. Perfect sh!tstorm.

Brought it back to 10 at the half. This can be won.
