Flyers sweep - 25-16, 25-18, 25-18
I might point out that UC played #13 Louisville on Sunday at home. They were swept then as well - scoring 55 points versus 52 tonight. By that measure we are ranked close to where we belong, if you use UofL as a measuring stick.

I thought that the team played well last night. UC is much better than their record indicates but they don't have the offensive balance that we have. UD was definitely the better blocking team which was key to controlling the match.

UofL had a tougher time finishing the sets and allowed Cincy to hang around. Of course Cincy did play at home, but I liked our performance. The Flyers are becoming a pretty balanced team. The Cincy match was a nice test against a good program before these final 3 A-10 games.
Shef liked the way the back row passed last night. The good passing in turn gave Sam the opportunity to be very aggressive as she was able to swing away with a lot of power on occasion.

And the loss only dropped us 1 spot RPI wise. That 9-16 record didn't do as much damage as I thought it could. Granted, there are 10 other games that haven't been updated as of 630am, but I'm not sure which ones of those could affect us.

That is true. There were a ton of three option passes where Sam had her choice of whether to hit or set. That is very tough to defend.

Isolde also moved into 24th place in the All-Time Season Block Assist with 99. Megan Campbell in the Duquesne game, moved to 10th place All-Time in Career Block Assists with 249 (251 after Cincinnati).

And she hit VERY well when she elected to do so.
