She was terrific - just 2 assists away from a triple-double!

Hard to feel sorry for SBU's short bench. Been that way for us all season too and nobody went easy on us either. Gotta roll with what you got.
Game was won in about a 3-4 minute stretch of 2nd qtr. I think we were down 21-17 and Burdette hits two triples and a bank shot, then Cannatelli hits a three and Scaife may have added one as well. We went from about 4 down to up 10 in about 7-8 trips down the court. SBU was never able to recover.
Thought we managed the 2nd half very well. Up 15 at the restart, SBU never threatened. Margin was about 15-20 the entire second half. There was a spot in the 3rd qtr where we got sloppy -- about 3 unforced TOs and 3 missed layups within about 8 trips down the court. That kept SBU on life support, but they didnt really do anything with it.

Both Layfield and Scaife with double doubles. Scaife is going to be a star the next two years, as her shooting is starting to be more consistent. She is now shooting 40% and 35% on threes, and can create a shot whenever she wants to.

Cannatelli showing g signs of more than a 3 pt threat. Learning from Austria, she's noe more consistent with her drives to the lane. And how about Szabo hitting treys and what a move under the basket. Bench went crazy.

She may not be the quickest or play the best defense but she provided some extended rest time for others that have been playing 35+ minutes for the past several games. That will matter the longer the season goes with our short bench.

Burdette moves into 22nd place in career scoring with 1071 -- needs 28 to move up to 21st (Leah Abla, 1099).
