George Washington game thread
Jerry Trupiano and Allie La Force have the call on CBSSN. Pace is a key GW will slow it down as best possible. Cummings is their top player especially with Prange still working herself back into shape from a concussion. GW minus six on the boards and I expect UD to dominate there today especially if the 6'5 Prange is limited.

Great first quarter of 23 points and a big lead. Second quarter is an egg with 7 points in 7 minutes

The falloff started with another Harris miss of a bunny - she misses so many. GDub hits a couple of treys and it is an 8 point swing in one minute. We were controlling the game and now we have a dog fight.

Harris needs to pick it up. Not a force in the paint on D either.

I feel bad for Allie LaForce having to work with this guy. He is horrible.
CBS Sports should have just let her do the game by herself

We are playing well right now. UD with 19 fast break points and 26 in the paint.

You wouldn't be the only volunteer!
Heck she could even get Archie to smile and not act annoyed during halftime and postgame interviews.

Really poor passing into the post. Got to protect the home court.

Harris totally struggles on offense. She does not anticipate the pass and misses so many layups. She has that big body, can jump and is so strong, but she plays too passive.

Nice move by LC to get to the line. Not having a great game but money at the line.

Not our best effort, but good enough. Layfield struggled on offense to get her shot.
Very impressed with the second half defense. Only gave up 21 points and 36% shooting in the second half. And 23 rebounds, to only 13 the first half.

Big difference between UD a the rest of the league is balance. Pick your poison, can't double team everyone, someone will step up.
Like mentioned, not our best game but good enough.

Burdette moves into 20th place in career scoring with 1136 -- needs 58 to move up to 19th (Amber Deane, 1194).

Anyone else notice how on Women in Sports Day, all of the participants in the halftime activities were men? Seems like a big PR/marketing miscue.

She wasn’t in very long, but Tiaera Phillips impressed me with her hustle. I believe she ended the game with 3 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a foul.

Tiaera has some size and skills. She is playing better than earlier in the year, and is an important piece of our team. She still has to learn to be more selective in her shot taking. That prolonged dribbling and shot near the end of the game yesterday was a head shaker.

Flyers RPI
The Flyers' RPI jumped 22 spots from 79th to 57th in the wake of Sunday's GW win and our 14-4 record. The RPI is held back a bit by a relatively weak SOS. The answer to that is to keep winning.
Go Flyers!
