The A-10 volleyball conference is 3/8th of the way complete. There are two clear favorites with both Dayton and VCU holding an undefeated record. 5 more matches still separate when these teams finally meet. Both Dayton and VCU have had their RPIs improve as of recently, as their tough non-con schedules are beginning to yield respect in the eyes of the computers. VCU is currently ranked 55th and Dayton is ranked 64th. This is most likely the important match to decide the regular season champion. VCU has been dominant winning every set.
Fordham almost beat VCU in the second set on 9/24/17, but ultimately lost 24-26. Dayton has lost two sets (Fordham and
Duquesne) on their way to 5 wins.
Saint Louis has won every match except for their loss to Dayton. After a very difficult non-conference, Saint Louis has collected 4 wins. That is enough to put them in 3rd place. SLU has wins over the current 4th and 5th place teams (DUQ and RI) so it is safe to say Saint Louis deserves to be in this position.
