Oakland Match
Oakland goes up 2-0, then Flyers strike off a header after a corner kick, literally a few seconds before the half. So 2-1 at the half.

Carlos Sendin "It In"! All tied up at 2! Flyers have had the run of play. Just needed to get a shot off inside the 18.

Getting chippy in OT. Tempers starting to flare. Flyers had a few scoring chances in first 10 min period. Max of 10 more min before PK's.

Oakland owned the 2nd OT. Had the better scoring chances. Ref wasn't blowing the whistle - especially in the box - unless a guy gets his wallet and keys stolen.
Last tournament appearance for the Flyers ended with a loss in PK's to UIC. Time for a little payback to the Horizon League this year!

Flyers win!!! 4-3 in PK's, as Oakland's last attempt struck the bar and shot high into the air. It's on to the next revenge match, this time with the Buckeyes! Excellent job, Flyers!

Wasn't that last PK miss by Oakland something else....didn't see it, me either not sure what the camera person was doing but wasn't focused on the kicker and keeper. At least got to see the replay.
Congrats Flyers!

Great effort by our team! PK's are always a crap shoot! Flyers score two to tie it up and then both teams go scoreless in the OT's!
Great win for UD and the A-10!
Man, NCAA wins in most/all of our fall sports in the past several years! Who would have thunk that 10 years ago!

Nice camera work on Oakland's last shot!!! Camera giving us a close up of the Oakland goaltender standing away from the goal while the penalty kick was taken and bounced off the top bar.

Actually since they did have a replay I think the error was with the person who chooses which camera we see as the one camera was spot on, just not live.
Not sure if this is on UD, the A-10 or the NCAA. One of those three were responsible for the streaming. Think the announcers were UD/A10 though.

I have to admit that during the first few PK's when it looked like Saliba wasn't going to stop anything I was wondering how Chris Froschauer would have done for us. Here's a little bulletin board material for Sunday:
After starting nearly 60 games for the Dayton Flyers men’s soccer team, where he compiled more than 200 saves, Froschauer decided to take a leap of faith about 80 miles east.
“I figured if I wanted to take a chance somewhere else and do something, why not do it now,” Froschauer said. “I get to play college soccer one time, so I went for it.”
The former three-year starting goalie for the Flyers hit a ceiling in Dayton. A greater challenge with higher rewards awaited him in Columbus..."

Possibly the best men's soccer game I have seen. Super effort by a great Dayton team.

Game recap:
http://www.udpride.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28369
As others have said, this was soccer played at an extremely high level. That either side had to lose and end their season was a tragedy.
James Haupt was a freaking Manimal tonight.

A three year starter at UD, Frosch quit on his teammates and transferred to tosu.. There is no other way to put it. The guys know what he did. His quote will definitely be on the bulletin board.
