First 7-footer
I’ve posted before about how much taller girls are getting coming into college. Well we have our first 7’0” player in D1 Volleyball this year. Miranda Weber is from Canada and a freshman at American. She went to a small school in Canada and hasn’t gotten a lot of training/coaching so a red shirt year would not surprise me. She will play Rightside OH. That’s a good decision because her lateral movement isn’t great. Not a great jumper at this point either. But 7’ is just unreal and I understand a program like American rolling the dice to get her and develop her.
Her mom is 6’8” and played basketball at Washington State.
