It's great the Flyers will get their crack at it I believe for the first time EVER. I remember about a decade ago the tourney was at Cintas in Cincinnati. The crowds at UD should be better than what the tourney has had the last few years.

Great news. To give Richmond and VCU the home city every year is unfair.

I doubt this arrangement would hamper a conference change. I am sure UD would still host a tourney even if we weren't in it, but more likely the A 10 would move it.

From the women's standpoint what good would it do going to the AAC? Forget conference championships with UCONN (though would get to see them every year) and it would be a battle with South Florida for second. The rest of those institutions on the women's side don't have particularly strong programs.

You make a valid point however the effect on the women's programs will come in a distant second to the major reason for such a move.

I don't believe the AAC would hurt WBB at all. Do well and we still could earn an at large, which is what most of our bids to the NCAA have been. I think women's attendance would get a boost in the AAC. In general, whatever benefits MBB will benefit all the sports at UD because MBB revenue is most of their funding.
