Game Recap: http://www.udpride.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32300
About as good as we could expect. Better team won. Our first touches tonight were wholly inept. But we are young and once again kept the opposition to just a goal -- and tonight we did it against a team with better talent on many parts of the field.
Still, we have no midfield right now and we will need to find one. Soon. Nicole Waters to wardrobe!

A couple more notes:
Baujan turf is in as good condition as I have ever seen it. Kudos to the grounds crew.
American flag was replaced in the last couple of days. Old one was faded by the sun. Good call to get it replaced. They also added a set of spot lights on the flag this year. Must be on a photocell - as it kicked on as darkness set in.
Johns kept us in the match with a couple of great saves.
Our body language was not good late. Not enough fire in the belly. We were only down a single goal.
We had 2 corners all night - same as Louisville - and really wasted one of them when Livingston could not get the ball off the ground and sent it into the side netting. When scoring chances are as precious as they were tonight, throwing away an opportunity on a corner really hurts.
The last 10 minutes were painful to watch. Our mids and forwards were gassed and lacking effort and we won nary a single ball. Johns would punt or send a goal kick forward, Louisville would win the ball, and the Cardinals would come right back at Johns. Very fortunate not to give up more goals.
1-0 loss was better than we could reasonably expect - given the run of play. Could easily have been worse.
