Don't understand Laurens wild shots under the basket. They have little to no chance of going in. Open so no way she draws a foul. Needs be more focused on her abilities and leave the rest alone.

Lauren off to good start, will it continue or disappear as in games past.
Bigs still can't finish.
Turnovers
But we lead 21 - 17 giving up 4 straight points to SLU

So far so good. A big finishes, Lauren continues to score, fowler causing havoc, defense caused shot clock violations twice.
Let's keep it up UD 34 SLU 21

Say what you want about Lauren, her defense on Frantz has SLU out of sorts. Their coach is not happy with how Dennis is impacting them on defense.

Lauren with mid range jumper. That's what she needs to do when parimeter isn't open instead of driving wildly.
41 24 half. Energy is up. No Fgs for SLU last 6:49.
Two good qtrs, now to finish.

The defense continues to be solid - holding SLU to 35% FG% in first half. Flyers shooting 52% - way way over their average of 37%. That is why we have the 15 point lead. Now to avoid a 4 point quarter and 8% shooting like a previous game.

No doubt Lauren came to play today. But after two games of 1 for 12 at treys she needed to. Dennis has been consistant good on post defense.

For both men and women
It's a 40 min game.
A 25 plus season
And a 4 year career. Don't stop a few games short on season or career.

Love Laurens mid range jumper. While not excited about her driving it has opened up her for the mid range. Defender doesn't know to defend parimeter or drive, then bingo.

3rd quarter shooting for the Flyers a more "normal" 33%. However, we went 9-12 from the line in that quarter alone compared to SLU 2-2 and that allowed us to build the lead.

Ridiculous start to the 4th quarter. Fowler killing us with the drive and throwing crap up. Then Jayla...
Come on ladies...went from 20 up to 13 just like that...

Fairly even second half as we shoot 35% for the half and 43% for the game. For this team winning and losing is all about making a reasonable number of shots. Shoot over 40% and we can win. Under 40% and we are in trouble. Unfortunately, this team has averaged about 37% for the season - just about the worst in UD history.

Good solid game by the Flyers. Excellent stats across the board. Still a two or three person show, but it is what it is.

Cannatelli 10 points from 15th place all time scoring.
Scaife 15 points from 1000.
If only the Flyers would have won by 15....

I thought the seniors played very well today. I thought Dennis had a great game. She plugged that middle of the defense and scored.
Phillip's plays solid defense and can rebound extremely well.
I wish that Parkinson could have played. She has worked hard and just lost so much to injury.
Cannatelli was very solid. Her defense on Frantz changed the game plan for SLU. Lauren did a great job of driving and pulling up on offense.
For as much havoc that Fowler can cause and as quick as she is, her shot selection is atrocious. I saw all three seniors who played today drive and defended in the paint turn and find an open shooter.
Good day for the Flyers. Go win round one of the A10 tourney

Great overall game, Lauren locked down on Frantz big time. After the post game interview ESPN plus immediately shuts off which is sad. La Salle returns Tuesday then the Friday game is at two. That game potentially against Davidson.

Ok good nrws, we are in bracket opposite Duquesne. That would be a road game. All other games would be neutral where we are 1 - 1. Better odds

If anyone is interested and didn’t hear Shauna talk 12 minutes about the seniors at halftime yesterday, it will be replayed halftime Tuesday night.

As everyone has basically said, this teams fortunes come down to shooting. Unfortunately to win 3-4 games in a conference tourney requires you to be consistent in what you do and this team cant shoot consistently even from quarter to quarter let alone game to game. That's why they have almost no shot at the brass. I wont say its zero, but it's not too distant from that.
Its a shame. This team does almost everything else well. It's like building a hot rod from scratch. Your metal fabrication, wiring, upholstering, chassis work, electronics, and paint work are the stuff of envy. But you've spent all winter trying to fix a fuel problem with the engine and that's seemingly routine but over your head. As a result you've missed all the expos and events because of it and your other work is largely held hostage.

I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you but it’s not like there’s a super team in this league UD can’t beat.

I agree they can beat anyone. They beat Fordham who is the #2 seed and should have beaten #1 VCU (albeit minus VCUs best player). The impasse UD will run into is they cannot beat anyone 3-4 games in a row. The inability to make layups and create better shots from the perimeter that are quality attempts will prevent it. Something would have to dramatically change between what happened all season and the next couple days. I think that's asking too much. Just not enough talent out there (or talent that played to their potential). Other than Scaife I dont see anyone out there that is All-A10 and Scaife may get scrubbed to the 2nd team at best. Cannatelli would be the only other possible name and there are too many other solid guards in this league that are multi-dimensional and bring other skills to the table than just shooting threes. Fowler has been a catalyst at times on offense but is a significant defensive liability due to size to counter those votes.
Im anxious to see the biblical turnaround however and A10 tourney title. Shauna would too so here's to it.

My first team all A-10 consists of Cardano Hilary, GW, Scaife, Cavenaugh, Haribson and Frantz. Coach of the year obviously Beth O'Boyle and rookie of the year Harbison.
