Will the A10 get two bids?
Before we say we think SJU played themselves out of an at large yesterday, it is important to note the selection committee is not supposed to accept score differential as one of its criteria (thank goodness!).
1. Why should I care? at least we're in?
Because the A10 is treated as fodder by the power conferences, and we know we're not all bad. I think it would be good for Dayton's profile if the A10 started regularly sending a second member to the tournament. I think it helps build Dayton's profile to have beaten an NCAA field team, especially so handily.
2. What are the key pros and cons of an SJU resume in 2016?
Pro: an RPI in the low 40's; a two-loss record; and an undefeated regular season.
Also, it may be under consideration that their arguably best player for the last four years, Emily Gingrich, sat out the starting line-up in the loss to Dayton, and was mostly neutralized as a sub-in.
Con: Schedule strength (lacking it); the 7-0 loss to outside of top 100 RPI Dayton on neutral ground; their tie of outside of top 150 Rider (at least it was AT Rider); and here's the biggie: a 1-1 record against the RPI Top 50.
Signature wins are essential, and St Joe's seeming only help in that category was HOME against ST LOUIS.
EDIT: This is not to take away from what St Joe's has accomplished. I want to reiterate that I think they DO at least BELONG in CONSIDERATION. But they are not a LOCK. That is all.

Excited for the Ohio State match-up!
Feel bad for St Joes - that has to sting. They had an incredible season, and to end it with a blow-out and then get shut-out from the tournment. I was hoping they would make it in.
