Parkinson’s down with what appears to be a knee injury. If her screams of pain are any indication this is not good.

Save Wilmoth for the good teams. Today should be a walk in the park.

Layfield 1 rebound from double-double.

I get it. Ill take a 40pt win any day. But to commit 18 TOs against a team like UAPB is inexcusable. We had 19asts and 18TOs. Basically 1:1. Against competition like this it should at least be 2:1. We should have had more like 8-9 TOs.
I dont know what it is, but for over a decade this program has been turnover machines unable to protect the basketball. I think the "pace of play" is just a convenient excuse. Lots of teams play fast and continue to figure out how to protect the rock. Why are we so sloppy with ball handling and passing? Or am I just an out of touch fan? Could be the latter. If so, rip me a new one.
Again, not to belabor the blowout win. After the Toledo game we needed this. But Im seeing the same mistakes in this game that made us completely overmatched vs Toledo. Toledo has done the same thing to us in several recent matchups. We must be the #2 in the state behind OSU. Not Toledo.
Until this program sees every possession as precious, Im not sure we can get to where we want to be, which is a second weekend NCAA type program on a consistent basis. Teams in the second weekend dont self-mutilate. Im not picking on any particular player either. Its more of a team issue.
On the good side, we shot the ball pretty well today and defensively UAPB couldn't do a thing -- shot 24% against us. Shauna will take that all year.

No you are right. I told my wife at the end of the first half, you can't turn the ball over 4 times a quarter against a weak defensive non pressure team and expect to beat the good teams on the schedule. We have to value the ball. We just aren't doing that.

APB, what a waste on a schedule. Are they even D1? Seen some high school teams better. Bring on the fighting Quinipiacians. Now we're talking basketball!! Fresh off their stunning win over Northern Colorado. We better win the conference with these stains on our RPI.

Knock APB, but if you are attempting to disparage Quinnipiac as an equivalency, it didn't work. Quinnipiac is a great mid-major program. Made Sweet-16 last year. Beat Dayton. Would beat most teams in most seasons. Very much like Green Bay. Better than most Power-5 schools. An RPI goldmine on any schedule. But you probably knew this.

But this isn't the same Quinnipiac team. They are -16 rebound margin and are, shooting 30% from the field.

Not as good as last year but without Grant Allen and Austria who could've expected it?

Not the same Quinnipiac team but playing Iowa, #16 Missouri and #9 Ohio State back-to-back-to-back will do that to your stats.

I thought Parkinson played very well before she got hurt. Their big was taking it to Harris and Dennis in the paint, that stopped when Parkinson was in there. I do hope it is nothing more than a sprain, but those screams and her crying were hard to listen to and not feel so badly for her.
I like the energy that Phillips brings to the game. She hits the boards, she hustles and works her butt off. If she could shoot and finish, she would be playing a lot more.
I also thought that Scaife is a ball hog. There were a couple of times she drove with defenders and shot it and there were wide open wings. I get she can create her own shot and that is valuable, but look for the open wing too.
While Pine Bluff was not the greatest, the Flyers did need it after coming off the poor play at Toledo. I think the Flyers will get better as this team seems to be in synch with each other. They seem to be a team whereas last year it took time at the beginning to get it going.
Ward will help as she is a scorer and Wimoth is supposed to be back for this next game is what I heard (hopefully, that is true). Her growth has been impressive in the small amounts I have seen her play. Her continued growth and confidence will only help us get much better.
Lastly, Layfield kind of took over there in the second half and I was impressed with her ability to do that (even though it was Pine Bluff). That has to give her a lot of confidence going into the next matchup.
Quinnipiac is winnable. Green Bay will be the real challenge. Hopefully, a bunch of screaming kids will have an affect or is it effect on them.
Go Flyers!
