Emily Durr
I didn't even realize this came out earlier this month so in case you missed it a new addition to the staff and what I find interesting is she quickly went from player to head coach and now she's given up coaching (at least for now)...
The University of Dayton women's basketball program has announced the addition of Emily Durr to the staff as administrative associate.
"I am so excited and honored to join the Dayton women's basketball program," said Durr. "The culture that Coach (Shauna) Green and her staff have built over the years is truly special. I can't wait to learn and grow under their leadership and guidance. Go Flyers!"
Durr comes to Dayton after spending the past two seasons as head coach at Mohawk Valley Community College located in her hometown of Utica N.Y. In her first year as head coach, the Lady Hawks amassed a record of 17-7, however her second season was canceled due to COVID-19.
Prior to coaching, Durr played collegiately at Iowa State University, where she played in 122 games and finished her career with 965 points. There she received her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in exercise science.
"We are very excited to have Emily join our Flyer family," said head coach Shauna Green. "Her experience playing at Iowa State and having served as head coach will be extremely beneficial to our program. She is a winner in all areas and I know she will only enhance our program."
