Let's Play Three!

BEVERLY HILLS (MI) -- Nothing like three UD games in four days to sate the Flyer Faithful’s roundball appetite, eh? Archie’s annual “business trip” takes our guys to Anaheim, CA and The Wooden Legacy, with the tipoff set for 8:30 pm Dayton time on Turkey Day. Let’s break it down for ya:

-- Here are a couple of video previews of The Wooden Legacy:

And a written preview of UD’s opening game vs. the Nebraska Cornhuskers, courtesy of David Jablonski of The Dayton Daily News:

-- Not to look ahead or anything, but should UD be fortunate enuf to prevail over the Huskers, they will face a UCLA squad that could be minus a couple of key players:

-- Grant Kelly of A-10Talk.com with a profile of emerging Flyer sophomore Ryan Mikesell:

-- Xeyrius Williams is learning on the fly, according to Pickin’ Splinters:

-- A look back at the St. Mary’s game, courtesy of a relative new kid on the block in Flyer hoops coverage, Kevin Krucki of udaytonbasketballblog:

-- Looking ahead to the post-Wooden Legacy schedule, UD will have to face a motivated Winthrop squad (they beat Illinois at Illinois 84-80 in OT earlier this week), led by diminutive PG Keon Johnson. Jay Bilas of ESPN.com referred to him thusly:

Winthrop's Keon Johnson, all 5-7 of him, torched Illinois for 38 points in a win over the Illini. That kid can really play.

Keon took to YouTube to correct The Bilastrator:

-- Archie plans to add another player to an already impressive recruiting Class of 2017 in the spring:

-- Nice move by the Kent State basketball team to invite fans of all races onto the court for the National Anthem:

-- ICYMI, here is the world’s most incredible basketball trick shot:

-- “The Sweet Tweet of the Week” comes to us from Boston Celtics beat writer for The Boston Herald and UD Grad Steve Bulpett:

Won $5 off Steph Curry for Dayton's win over Davidson last year. Got him to go double or nothing on this season's matchup.

That’s it “From the Swamp.”
